Sometime I regret not having played the PC version with the metal soundtrack
At least i got Duke Nukem.

that's like doom metal (haha get it)
Also, who's that man on the cover?
Doomguy. Look at the hair.
The console soundtrack for Doom is stupid and completely at odds with the game itself. A game where you outrun your own rockets is not a horror game.
Virgin faggot vs Chad slayer
Who would win?
>implying any game other than Quake has good music.
Can't believe it's real.
They're canonically the same person.
Aubrey Hodges is a genius.
I wish they made a wink to it in the soundtrack of nuDoom 2016.
The theme itself is cool.
Go kiss Trent's ass some more
>At least i got Duke Nukem.
nope

It's roughly similar unlike the Doom port which is the complete opposite.

Got it mixed up
>mfw I put this on a cd of otherwise normal music to listen to when I went to sleep.
Are you implying those aren't the same songs? While yes one is a remix of the other but they're the same base song. Doom PC and Doom PS1, and by extension 64, are completely different soundtracks.
No I'm and I like the playstation mix better.
>and I like the playstation mix better
>YTMND
F
Stand aside.
brAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAp
Someone's farting in my headphones
are we supposed to pretend that this is a bad track?
Always has me end up in tears of laughter.
>tfw it could have sounded like this
The rest of the soundtrack is.
You can't get any cheaper than slowing down samples to make 15min long track
AH don't ever mention 20th anniversary in my presence.
What's wrong with it?
It's just the original game MIDIs recorded on a Roland SC-88, which is what the composer composed it on
How is that bad in any way? And, for the record, that song is only about 6min long.
>tfw Doom didn't sound like anything to you because you played the "50 games on one disk" version that had all music cut
World Tour is fucking fantastic, moron.
Somehow Old Doom sounds more menacing and dark.
Enjoy your muffled sound effects pointless reskins and poorly remade voicelines
WT has the old audio still as an option, ya dingus.
But you get the cool as fuck rewind feature
I like WT but what's the point of that when quick save/load exists?
it's a watered down version of megaton edition. i hope you like big bong theory.
youtube.com
That's not a line in WT.
You don't need any saves, it's like having an infinite amount of savegames
Other than sound it isn't really any watered down compared to megaton
Both megaton and world tour are shitty for having Vert- widescreen and no option to change that
Just get the dos version and EDuke32
What other games had their soundtrack changed in ports?
The muffled sound effects and widescreen fov were fixed in a patch
>Ass-Deep in the Spread
Not changed in the same vein as Doom PS1/64, but Hexen. A lot of Hexen 64's songs sound moodier. I like that they're different, gives me two great soundtracks to listen to.
DKC3 GBA
You don't?
you mean Quake 2, right?
To me Doom sounds like THAT

I grew up playing the Playstation version as well. Didn't play pc Doom until I got the gzdoom sourceport many years ago. I also played the Doom games that came in the limited edition version of Doom 3 for Xbox.
>Doom 3 on Xbox
poor soul
>not some metal shit
>post the main metal track in the game
moron
PSX doom is great though
It's orchestral with some guitars on top.

>3:10

...
>not some metal shit
>posts something from a genre that is literally called Doom Metal
>id still cares enough about Doom 3 to include that Doomguy in it
Thats nice.
If nothing else, QC is good for fanservice.
It had differences to the PC version. Levels were different.
Much better than generic metal shit desu.
To be fair, Doom PS1 is actually one of the best PC ports of it's era. Even if it isn't 100% accurate, it's still good in it's own right.
Doom 64 isn't even the same game though.
>Doom 64 isn't even the same game though
Never claimed it was.
Damn that sounds great
Sounds even more aggressive than the original
snes doom was my first doom, and i had no idea about proper doom for years after
shit blew my mind
i don't hear it
Jesus Christ that's fucking horrible.
Call me an illiterate but what’s the process for doing an old school MIDI song? Closest I know is the fucking Mario Paint composer. I have FL and Ableton but don’t know how to use them.
>You can't get any cheaper than slowing down samples to make 15min long track
That's literally how a lot of atmospheric music is made. Like, Bioshock: Infinite has a super, super, super, super slow version of Will the Circle Be Unbroken playing during a lot of scenes.
I wonder what's Sup Forums first contact with doom.
I'm sure the majority would be PS4
