Spend half your echos on blood vials

Vials were better just like grass was. The whole vial grinding argument is bullshit you are actually trash at this game if you ever had to stop what you were doing and had to go farm vials.

I went in blind and platinumed it in 10 days, never having played a Souls game before.

I destroyed the game's legacy in the process also.

It let's you explore for longer as you keep picking them up.

>I platinumed an easy short game in 10 days

congratz

It's a different game.

Lol I'm sure you looked up the secret ending requirements edgelord

nigger why would estus be in a non-dark souls game?

I did it in 6 so what?

it's actually much better because it removes casuals

Holy shit I never thought of this it actually rewards the decent player. Fuck I love blood vials.

>There's 0 reason why they couldn't just keep the estus system as it was.
Because Bloodborne has never had an estus system?

if you dont suck you wont run out of blood vials, basically meaning estus is easy mode.

Nigger, they didn't need to change anything about the item, just make it recharge fully when using a lantern and not be buyable/droppable from enemies. Most likely reduce the max amount as well.

Most people did this because most people suck at video games. Probably 4 out of 5 farmed vials to the limit.

I can't tell if these people are just pretending to be retarded.

you also destroyed my penis's legacy by chugging it for ten days

Bloodborne was supposed to be fast-paced in case you didn't notice the regain system.
You're not supposed to die from accumulated damage you're supposed to die from misreading enemies and getting fucked by their counter.
The only reason they didn't go for regenerating health is because they knew their fanbase would tear their throat.

good lord you newfaggots are easy to spot. Lemme guess. You dicked around Yharnam and got killed and you thought it was gonna hand hold you with health items? Welcome to BB faggot. This game forces you to learn how to play with a limited healing system.

this game literally gives me a headache with its fluctuating 20-25 fps while turning the camera. it's unplayable for me.

based

That's stupid. Bloodborne aimed for a horror game, and there's nothing less horrifying than having a slowly expanding safe zone around every bonfire, or losing a fight and having it not matter at all. Estus means that DS can throw hard bullshit at you, and you can just chug, roll, and fight your way through. Vials means that BB gives you long runs, with lots of enemies, and the challenge is to protect your own life and your resources. They're different for a reason.

why would a lantern give you blood?

you're pretty good

Guess we're both faggots now... huh big boy?

>blind
>lying on the internet

Just call it blood lantern and be done with it.

Sure but you could do the same thing with estus. Have it replenish with kills or drops like it does from people kindling

its a part of the critical systemic difference between DS and BB. BB chooses to reward the risk-taking player more than the safer one. A player that's willing to push greater distances per outing, push their luck, and deal with enemies for effectively has more healing items.

Fuck off you post this in every thread

Kill yourself faggot

I don't think it should have had either
game should have focused entirely on aggressive healing mechanics. like make visceral healing always available instead of tied to runes

Just call it a blood vial and keep estus mechanics...

Fuck off retard.

Based shitposter.

Same but I kinda got used to it. It's more noticeable on some screens than others. It's a damn shame it's not on PC because that would fix biggest issue this game has. I would easily call it the best souls game if that were the case but as it is the frames and aliasing are fucking terrible

And before you shitpost like a retard about console fanboys, I'm an idort who played every DaS game on PC.

bothers me too but it was beautiful compared to playing dark souls 1 on ps3

I don't think they would have lost a lot if they just started you at 20 blood vials from every lamp, and had kills periodically reward you with another vial. The only thing it would really change is not having the vials as an easy item to throw in nooks and crannies to reward players for looking around, and the rate at which you get echoes might have to be adjusted since you no longer have vials as a way to constantly dump excess echoes.

Are you saying it's never coming to PC? yeah no shit. The only hope is emulation in the future. I don't get why they can't at least release a pro patch though

It convinces the player to be more reasonable, since you'll actually waste resources if you fuck up.
Though you can easily grind it with shared Chalice Dungeons

Well sorry user, not all of us were graced with the magic touch of instantly being good.
Especially against fucks like ludwig and the orphan.

Good thing this isn't Dark Souls and they can make different design choices

It’s not dark souls OP.

Are you? Its not fucking dark souls. Its like you are complaining that Vampire isn’t exactly like Street Fighter II.

What a fucking fairy you are. Tick yourself up in bed with soup and breadrolls, i wouldn’t want you catching a cold.

Nothing wrong with how vials work. You can spend them pretty liberally to facilitate more aggressive engagements from the player. I only actually ran out of them during my NG+ run and by then I could afford to just blow echoes to buy out stock in the hunters dream.

They changed literally nothing for me besides being annoying when I ran out.
I tried my best not to get hit, not due to limited resources but because I didnt want to fuckin die.
Despite them being limited I drank them whenever hit enough, because I didnt want to fucking die.
There was never a feeling of threat at running out, the only at death.

The impact this pointless management added was having to waste an hour 3 times in my playthrough to restock.

Estus was retarded.
Go back to Grass.

>ludwig
There's actually a guy on the way to Ludwig that gives you, I think, 5 vials.

I literally don't care because it makes a lot more sense in the environment than grass or a pleb tier sippy cup. Blood Vials being plentiful make sense for Yharnam, plus you blow through them easy if you can't git gud for bosses, the areas are a little harder to run through and you can only carry 20 max which you start going through when you've fully explored the area and get to a tougher boss. Plus, there's so many ways to make Bloodborne as challenging as you want, fuck, just don't even use them or limit them for boss fights or something. What's the problem?

theres also a big guy nearby that drops a bunch
I died to ludwig a ton but i would always kill these dudes everytime

>hope
No thanks, I saw what a PC release did to the Souls series.

I just preferred running the starting area.
That big enemy was a pain and I couldn't consistently kill the big guy easily.
As well, running back and forth to the bonfire and those two just felt even more monotonous.

Jesus christ, you suck

so you're just a shitter, got it

kys

grass > vials > das2 > das1/3

i would say 3 > 1

Running out was never an issue even on my first playthrough, I bet you summon for bosses too.

what's the difference?

>Greatest game of all time
>Stuck on a console with hardware that’s complete trash

It hurts.

3 has certain enemies that will give you a estus charge out in the wild.

Either way is retarded. BB and Demons Souls let you just brute force bosses with how much healing you got. You're not good for one shotting Orphan if you have 20 vials to go through. You can make way too many mistakes for the boss to be an actual test of your skill. Anyone that pretends otherwise is probably retarded. If you want to reward exploration, which is fair, just use 3's system.

Yes, but I'm trying to get better.
That mechanic only stalled attempts at getting better.
