Way too contrasty on the black background for me. I did this in one second in paint and it's ugly but it doesn't hurt to look at. I think you've either got to change the background (based on what the ground is) or tone down the amount of noise in your grass sprites. Or use ascii like a sane person I guess.

So what is your roguelike is it open like dorf adventure mode, or is it like stone soup?

That actually doesn't look half bad. I'd still reduce grass noise. Your trees are super simple stylized and then the grass is damn near hyper realism in contrast.

Yeah im still experimenting a bit with the tileset. Its tough to get a good mix of realism and stylized

I'm more than open to gameplay and graphics ideas which is why I post my stuff here. Only reason I'm not going 3d is because the assets and drawing optimization take a lot more time.

Sorry to just assume that your post was from that faggot but hopefully you can understand where I'm coming from, especially after that faggot (I'm guessing it's the same faggot) report flooded his way into getting a shit mod to exile SCP threads to /vg/ despite them not being general material.

Looks good but the trees could use some work. The trunk overlapping the leaves make them look like they're been viewed from a low angle which is kind of weird. Also, they're too solid compared to the other tiles.
