Tbh, as soon as CFW comes out for the switch I'm going to go install that, dump my carious carts (or grab those games again off the net), onto the microSD and then occasionally pirate a game, like I did with the 3DS.
I don't particularly care. I buy way more games than the average consumer ever would (hence why CFW is actually convenient for me).
I got about 5 digital Switch games, and about 11 Switch carts, with Kirby on the way. I should imagine by the time CFW is a thing, I would own double that amount of games. (I had like 30 3DS carts, and about 20 digital games)

Getting $3 for buying a $60 game is pretty much what Club Nintendo did. It was easy to abuse even without Wii mini or used game Gamestop codes, but their intended method gave similarly priced rewards. For example:

>150 coins for Kirby Super Star on Club Nintendo
>150 coins = $8 reward
>coins were roughly 1 for every dollar a game cost on releaes, so 60 coins for a $60 game
>150 coins = $150 spent
>$150 spent = $8 reward

In the My Nintendo system:
>5 gold points for every $1 spent on the eShop
>1 gold point = 1 cent reward
>800 gold points = $8 reward
>800 gold points = $160 spent on the eShop

As you can see, you effectively get about the same amount back as a reward. This fluctuates a bit as Club Nintendo didn't strictly follow a 1:1 value between coins and eShop prices. Donkey Kong 94, for example, cost 100 coins at the same time as KSS but was only $4 on the eShop. In addition, they jacked up the prices on rewards later on. Compare my pic to . DK94 went from 100 to 150 and SNES games were 250 instead of 150.

Unfortunately, now Nintendo sells physical goods on their own online stores and in places like GameStop, so they have no incentives at giving away physical stuff.

I put TF above Returns but mostly because of the waggle. The 3DS version is good by removing it but then chops down the FPS and graphics. Emulated Returns is about equal with TF.

I save a ton of money with PS Plus because I often wait for plus discounts and you can already guess beforehand which games will be monthly games, pair this with gamesharing which makes it 25 bucks a year.
If however you want to play new games immediately and you don't care about online gaming then plus is a waste of money.

It doesn't help that LE and CEs as of late are so crap, filled with throw-away physical 'goodies' not worth the extra price, while the actually good stuff is sold separately.
