nothing it is the best game ever made
Nothing famalam.
25 fps, paid online
PS exclusiveness. Fuck those console Jews who cannot sell their shitststation without them
No shields = less depth in combat
Shit game, DS1 will always be the best game in the series. The PvP as complex as any fighting game out there. The PvE is one of the greatest experiences in the world history. If I were to argue if videogames could be art, DS1 would be my pick
Can't warp from lamp to lamp or rest at lamps to respawn enemies without using a mark.
Consumables don't restock on spawn (Molotovs papers etc).
Paid online and chalice glyphs.
Lots of cut content.
Other than that it's near perfect.
Less "depth" = better balance.
You can't pretend that the guy who beat DaS by turtling behind a tower shield was playing the game properly or having any fun. BB just forces you into a fun playstyle that the game is actually balanced around.
chromatic aberration
Garbage builds
Game is shorter
Awful last third
Online is garbage
Chalice dungeons are lazy shit
Estus Flask system will always be superior
It's brown as fuck
>spam a lot of R1 = fun
You've played too much CoD
The NPC quests are honestly awful.
6/10 at best
Bloodborne IS the CoD of Dark Souls series. It added guns and now parrying takes literally 0 skill, you can just spam spam spam your gun from a distance until you get the parry. There's even a stat that raises gun damage so there's little incentive to not parry spam. Unlike in DS1 you have to be up close to parry, and if you missed the parry you were punished hard for it, so it was an actual skill.
The game has awful pacing and the novelty wears off after the first few hours due to the autistic pacing
>Fight Boss.
>Die.
>Warp Back to Hunters Dream.
>Warp to Central Yarnham.
>Fuck around for 5 minutes getting your health back.
>Warp back to Hunters Dream
>Warp back to current level.
>Fight Boss.
>repeat
The pacing in souls games is superior
They had similar issues as with DaS2 during development, though none of it ended up affecting the game anywhere near as bad.
They were fighting the technical problems they couldn't deal with, sense of identity vs game design.
Overall, BB's biggest issue probably ends up being how similar it is to Souls games and how the differences it takes from them aren't meaningful and serve the lore at best and makes for poor gameplay at worst, both of which could have been well fixed or lore made to serve the gameplay and its systems instead.
This, the flow of the game should have been tons of better. Dark Souls III has new issues of its own, but the way you progress at breakneck speed without obtuse-feeling gaps is a testament to something.
As others already stated, nothing really went wrong. Honestly I think that it would have been super nice if it had one or two areas more.
The blood vial system is annoying, should have be replaced with an estus-like. Should have been able to sit at lamps to respawn the area for farming. I also would have much preferred like one or two totally original areas to trade off for the chalice dungeons. Contrarian manbabys can bitch in this thread all they like but bloodborne is a fucking phenomenal game.

>fight boss
>die
there's your problem kiddo
...
It was rushed to make PS4 sales.
...
>simplistic level design compared to dark souls
>the only interesting area in the game was the forbidden woods
>gets really repetitive after a while
>matchmaking is not good
Worst of all is that the game does nothing that couldn't be done with PS3 tech. the gameplay doesn't take advantage of the hardware. Even Horizon Zero Dawn did a better job with this.
...
Some framerate issues.
Overall it's the best game with the most polish. Really shows what the A team is capable of when given lots of time and freedom.
being on PS4 and thus being unplayable.
But holding L1 until the enemy bounces off your shield, then pressing R1 = fun?
Yeah nah. There's a reason why ALL skilled DaS players tend towards light armour and no shield. It's objectively the most fun way to play the game.
The game gives you the option to buy vials. You chose to farm instead of buy.
S E E T H I N G
...
Actually fucking nothing aside from technical issues that don't bother me much
There is no story, only theories by players due to the rush development of the game. Evidence to this is the Celtic beast fight, door was removed during alpha, alot of cut content with character dialogue. That Bell tower to fishing level from the DLC is embarrassing.
I'm torn on the Chalice Dungeons. I think it's a really interesting idea, but just not expanded upon enough. Most people forget about them completely.
If they'd made each dungeon more unique and gave you more reason to explore them.
The one major problem I have with BB is the drops. There's no fucking treasure at all, no reason to actually explore the dungeons. You get some gems that are useless in 5 minutes anyway, and that's about it. The dungeons needed more exclusive weapons and armor sets to make them actually worth doing.
>now parrying takes literally 0 skill
It takes about the same amount of skill as it always has. There have been easy ways to parry in every game, be it the buckler, parry dagger, caestus or whatever. Missing a parry with all of these things had a miniscule downside, missing a parry with the gun is just a waste of a bullet. Neither is actually punishing.
Especially if we talk about PvP. Parry baiting in DaS will always be a problem, at least in BB it's likely they'll run out of bullets. Parrying is a shit crutch in general.
>most polish
>first thing you say is framrate issues
The most polish game is Dark Souls 3. BB is clunky and has delayed attacks thank to the horrible framerate and frame pacing on PS4.
youtube.com
You see the laags every time he does a attacks make the game unplayble if you played Nioh MHW in fps mode or any Soul's on PC.
Bloodborne design seeping into Dark Souls games. They are supposed to be seperate series, so why the fuck does DS3 play like another Bloodborne game, with bosses being dodge-fests?
>never played a souls game before
>beat cleric beast first try
was I memed?
>That Bell tower to fishing level from the DLC is embarrassing.
Somebody will take a bite.
>some technical issues
The game is the most complete of any of them. BB was not rushed at all, as far as we know. Dark Souls, Demon's and Dark 2 all suffer massively from being incomplete. With BB they had the time to really stitch everything together and polish it up.
Nothing it's the best souls game since DeS
DeS suffers the same way, as does DaS2 and 3. The central hub being a necessary point return for as much as it is just hinders a sense of natural progression. It becomes too formulaic.
Because dodging is more fun than blocking.
It's soulless
41 replies and 25 posters. A lot of same fagging pc cucks.
>Clock tower to fishing Hamlet
I'm sorry princess for ruining the names.
Matchmaking and PVP is garbage. Also everything after Forbidden Woods is shit
>some technical issues
>>simplistic level design compared to dark souls
Utter nonsense. The use of space in BB is potentially the best it has ever been in the franchise, there's great verticality to the level designs and it nails a claustrophobic atmosphere. You can dislike it, which is understandable, but to claim it's simplistic is honestly just wrong.
Also forbidden woods gets real shit.
Seems like lot of samefagging sonygros to me
>Dark Souls is the only game in the series without a hub and level waifu
>people act like the other games are the weird ones
I tried it yesterday on ps4 pro since it was free.
Runs like ass even with boost mode.
Hopefully they do a pc version at some point to play it with acceptable framerates. Or maybe on a ps5
>Dark Souls is the only game in the series without a hub and level waifu
It's probably why it's the game in the series. Designing a hub world takes no skill
we can only hope for PS5 remake.
No that's pretty common. Souls veterans see a giant boss and think they have to play passively/reactively. Newbies have no preconceptions and play aggressively, which is how you win at Bloodborne.
I actually like gimmick bosses. Like Micolash.
And yet it's 15 or less posts defending the game. You soyboys can only count how many times you get cucked.
No it isnt, it's more of an annoyance than anything, PvP in BB is horrible because of it.
>It's probably why it's the game in the series
You aren't even making any sense sonygro
This thread again...
...
Read it slow then, faggot. And I have every console and a gaming pc. It's called not being a soyboy.
There has to be something strenuous about designing the interconnecting world of DaS the way they did, seems weird they haven't done it again. Maybe they just want a safe zone to be more important, but maidens for leveling are shit and they can easily just assign other roles to them.
>Designing a hub world takes no skill
lol what a dumb dumb
the game does nothing to move the industry forward.
lmao autistic no friends IRL op BTFO within seconds
pack it up boys ;)
Tried getting into it a month ago (on a base PS4, not a Pro) and I just couldn't handle the framerate, felt like my PS4 was dying just trying to render every new frame
worst part is that it isn't a problem you could brute-force with more powerful hardware since the frame-pacing is supposedly the thing that makes the entire experience feel sluggish
I probably have 4 of the posts defending the game and I'm an idort. It's just a game I enjoyed a lot, and if it weren't for the performance issues I'd consider it near perfect.
...
Why are bloodborne cucks so autistic? Are you still mad about The Witcher 3 utterly destroying your weeb garbage? Respect your father weebs you will never be a big guy

i game mainly on PC and it was incredible besides the FPS

>low replayability compared to any souls
>chalice dungeon
>blood vial
>any online feature
>shortest soul
>the quality overall drops after Rom
Being mentally retarded isn't endearing, so you should probably just stop. The guise of anonymity doesn't make it any less cringeworthy.
Suck my balls, negro. I don't give a shit about your autistic screeching
Eat shit
It was too dumbed down. Even with the DLC, build variety is basically nothing. Before Old Hunters you didn't even have interesting weapons to play with.
Boring linear level design, almost all encounters were "enter room, enemies rush at you and slash with their weapons, press dodge button then r1". Over and over again. I pretty much described almost the entire game right there actually.
It was difficult in the wrong way. I don't think I ever died due to running out of consumables once. No creeping around every corner and wincing at every hit you took because it meant once less valuable estus and you start to doubt if you passed a bonfire/lamp because it might be off the side of a cliff or behind an invisible wall like you did in DeS/DaS1. Lamps were always in plain view and fairly spaced out.
Very few traps, no illusionary walls, no branching paths right from the start, no invisible bridges, no etc etc. No interesting zones with interesting enemies like Tower of Latria or Sen's Fortress in general.
They were just phoning things in by BB and it became a simple action brawler like DMC only with worse combat. It's probably your favourite Souls game if you don't like thinking or patience.
ugly
manchild
l m a o
Not a lot. I found it really fun on the first playthrough, but after seeing all the content, I have no drive to do it again. Since I know most of the enemy attack patterns, I'd just be killing them with a different weapon without much variation. This is the first Souls(like) game I've beaten, so I can't tell whether it's the game's lack of variety or a personal hang-up.
Ehh I don't know, you seem pretty autistic to me and the other anons itt.
>Sup Forums now hates BB
What the fuck happened?
The Witcher 3 is a superior game
Did you read the thread? read first 5 posts moron
OP got utterly BTFO with ease
Sup Forums loves and always will love Bloodborne
Have to agree on the last part. It really feels like the rest of the game after Rom is super rushed, everything just happens and goes to the ending too fast.
Bloodborne is shit but The Witcher 3 is for nu males, casual garbage with braindead-everything
Do they even compare?
I mean Witcher 3 is a great game but even on death march the combat isn’t really comparable, isn’t it?
Sup Forums always hated soyborne. only a true numale would be capable of enjoying such a meme game
Sure. Real talk:
>Bad performance.
>Gems were boring as fuck and pure missed potential.
>Runes were boring as fuck and pure missed potential.
>Lost and Uncanny weapons were boring as fuck and missed potential.
>Some minor boss balance and design issues, like Maria having too many huge parry openings, giant beasts fucking the camera, MP being terrible overall, etc
>A few great bosses bured in the Chalices.
>Too many requisite Chalices before you get to the good stuff.
>Not enough bell maidens.
>Equipment availability for arcane is weird hoop-jumping for new players due to where spells and arcane weapons are availible.
>Probably could have had faster R2 charge with more hyper armor on all weapons.
>Cut some cool content.
>Insight should have did way more shit.
>Should have taken a cue from Dark Souls 1, and did away with teleporting for a while.
>Should have taken a cue from Dark Souls 2, and added NG+ content.
>Kick/shove MIA.
>Could have found away to implement styles more around heavier weapons like Kirk so tank faggots would stop crying.
>Some faggots cry about vials.
>Some autistic platted it in 10 days.
This is pretty much it. I scraped as much as I could here and half of this shit is such and more like ways the game could be improved than actual flaws that subtract from it. You have to dig deep to find minor flaws. Best game in the series and one of the best games ever made.
>calling him a nu-male
The correct term would be soyboy.
>caring about combat
Bloodborne's combat is garbage compared to Skullgirls.
>what went wrong
Nothing really. The only complaint people could have was the loading screens at launch but that was fixed. BB easily has the best aesthetics in the series. The enemy designs and gothic architecture are top tier. Anyone saying there isn't a variety between all the different weapons has never tried using them to their potential and I can almost guarantee they literally only r1 spammed with every weapon.
I don't mind they took out most of the magic since it's been an active detriment to the game since Demon's Souls. Magic has always been the casual build. Dark Souls rewards turtling behind shields until you get an opening. BB is much better in that regard as it rewards constant offense and being in the boss's face. Not sitting back and killing them with crystal soul spear/lightning
>Miyazaki, you did a good job with the control input of Demon's Souls! Actions are on time and the players are forced to control in a bizarre fashion lest their character act on it's own free will!
>What, I did? Fuck that, for Dark Souls make it so it queues your inputs, so that if you get hit while attacking or healing, you attack or heal again when the stun animation is up
>I-If you say so.
>-Years later-
>Miyazaki, since Bloodborne is going to have even faster paced combat relying on quick reflexes and player response, do you think maybe we should remove the input queue?
>Fuck no. Also make it sub 30 FPS on next gen consoles. That'll teach them.
DeS > DaS1 > DaS3 > BB > DaS2
>Shields.
>Depth.
>Dark Souls 1.
>On par with fightan.
lol, godking of DeS/DkS1 and primordial lord of the meta is laughing at you.
samefag autistic soyboy lmao!
Nah I liked The Witcher 3 but BB blows it out of the water, easily.
