Gonna replay OoT today. Do I play on N64, Gamecube or 3DS?
Gonna replay OoT today. Do I play on N64, Gamecube or 3DS?
Other urls found in this thread:
3DS is by far the best version if you own it, there really isn't any reason to play the other versions unless you want to get that nostalgic feeling from playing on a CRT with the original controller.
Original or bust. Tried playing the 3DS version last year and I couldn't bring myself to beat it.
Gamecube. The controller is great and it makes it almost bearable that its nintendo exclusive
Have you played the Master Quest yet? If not then play that one. I think it's on the Gamecube and 3DS versions. Or it can be emulated for N64.
I always found the 3ds version awful to control.
Bust out the motherfucking 64 mother fucker
>Do I play the old version or the new one with better graphics and controls?
Actually I hadn't considered this. I haven't played Master Quest, but do I have it on the Gamecube and the 3DS version.
Never ever choose 3DS, shitty tiny screen, worse controls, ruined the aesthetics, casualized it.
It's shit. Play N64.
If you have version 1.0, original. Otherwise, 3DS.
>do I shill the masterpiece or the shit smeared remaster
3DS, it has a unique sheathe for the Biggoron's Sword.
>old game
>muh graphics
pj64
Takes your pills grandpa
>I want my game on a teeny screen with atmosphere breaking textures thank you very much
Cancer, bet you prefer Twin Snakes.
Play GCN's Master Quest and then play the 3DS's Reverse Master Quest later in life.
Original
The remaster fucks up so many things it's not even funny
It really is. Only real negative you can't play on big screen. I do wish Nintendo would port it over to Switch and maybe include few visual upgrades (at least the necessary ones when porting to a home console).
n64 is slower and you can't play it while pooping.
does dark ganon mean that much to you?
you shoud either emulate it on dolphin
or
emulate it on project 64 and as you played it a thousand times how about maybe apply djipi's celshade retexture youtube.com
I think I'll do this. Time to setup the Gamecube.
Cry harder
You mean like how it was originally? the remake is a higher resolution than the original.
>Muh instant gratification
The slower pace of OOT 64 is part of the atmosphere and the charm. Did you prefer Bloom Waker HD: Speedboat edition too?
>playing a remaster that destroys the atmosphere of the original
>fucks up the pacing in cutscenes
>fucks up the pacing with the text
>changes shit for no fucking reason
The remaster is horrible
>>>>>>atmosphere
>>>>>>>>>>>>>Chaaaaarm
Everytime
I have no reason to be salty, the better game can't be undone.
>video games are about graphics
>good graphics are about bigger numbers
>screen size isn't an issue
Master Quest on Gamecube is best version.
If it's too hard for you, do regular on Gamecube.
>In many cases, knowledge of the original game can be a hindrance rather than a help, and trying to solve puzzles the way they are done in the original leads only to a trap, or a meager prize of no more than five Rupees.
Interesting. I think I'll try to get my hands on this, too, if I replay OoT.
>not playing it on the gc Zelda Collectors Edition disc
>I play OOT for the mechanics
>Did you prefer Bloom Waker HD: Speedboat edition too?
Lmao no, I literally reset and lost progress on my save because the action prompt to pull out the speed sail annoyed me. So I never get it.
Starting it shortly. Gamecube is all hooked up and ready to go.
>playing master quest
>spend hours in spirit temple because fuck if I know how to deal with the current puzzle
>had to hit a fucking invisible switch inside of a small random fucking chest in the room
Just a reminder, hit your chests
>video games are about graphics
well that is what you are currently whining about, you pathetic dickless little rat
>good graphics are about bigger numbers
literally yes.
>screen size isn't an issue
the 3ds has a larger screen resolution than what the original ran at. are you such a disgusting little contrarian cumstain you think 360p looks better on a 19 inch crt or whatever your trailer trash family had than 400/800p on a 3ds screen?
you're a fucking joke. just shut up or kill yourself.
The only reason to play the remaster disaster is muh graffix
Good graphics are about conveyance of tone, utility in thr gameplay design and creating an overall visual aesthetic to work from. This is why CoD WWII looks like shit, and Metal Slug will always look good. It isn't about numbers, it's about utility and design sense
>resolution!!!
Not an argument, the screen is PHYSICALLY smaller.
Sounds to me like you're mad about being wrong on the internet.
fight me
no, im not even a Zelda fan, just giving op an option or 2
>not even a Zelda fan
I see that, it's OK, OP made the correct choice.
im playing OoT on project 64 with an xbone controller
The graphics have aged really badly but the gameplay will never age
If there's one thing that's aged is the entire Hyrule field thing in the game
If played on a scanlined CRT it looks a lot better, unfortunately N64 has a blur effect for antialiasing that looks bad on modern screens. You can gameshark it away though.
What are some examples of this?
OoT and MM on 3DS
>MM on 3DS
I was so excited for this one, expecting them to learn from their mistakes in the OoT remake, and yet they released an even worse remake
Fuck
hyrule field has minecraft tier grahics
Yes, I get that, but what are some examples of those remakes where it "destroys the atmosphere of the roriginal" or "fucks up the pacing in cutscenes" or "fucks up the pacing with the text". Like when in the game does this happen?
