Fixes are superficial. The game is flawed on a deeper level. Finally, there are several episodes yet to come so we are really far away from a fully realized version

The upcoming DLC is a new series, not main game episode. It's things like playing as the main villain in his own episode or playing as Luna in hers, things that were never planned to be in the game in the first place and is completely new content, which is exactly the kind of DLC that Sup Forums always says it what devs should do for DLC.

I'd play it if the needed storage wasn't 100 fucking gbs.

Whats the problem with this game? Is Sup Forums mad for not awful turn based garbage? I'm tempted to buy it but i just want challenging real time combat and good story

That's the thing, xv offers neither

The game would still be bad if it was Nomura's decision to make the combat consist of holding a button down so his old man hands didn't get tired.

It's only real time in the loosest sense, you just hold a button to attack and dodge with bland weapons while pressing QTEs, there are ATB systems in the FF series with better "action" element than XV.

The game really doesn't look very good but at least it runs well for the most part. I keep getting weird texture flickering/glitching. It's minor but definitely annoying. It's absurd how bad the distant textures look though.

It's pretty brain-dead as far as combat goes, and it doesn't feel satisfying. Can't speak to the story as I'm not very far, but so far it's pretty standard-fare. Not good, but not awful either.

Is there any way to made combat not chaotic shitfest?

You probably won't find those here. You can do some cool stuff in the combat, but the difficulty never really makes you go for it.
The story itself is mediocre. There is some good lore in there, but the stuff you actually experience is very bland, outside of maybe 3 moments, one of which isn't in the game, and another is just like another FF but without as much impact.

I'm enjoying the game, but I don't understand the praise the port is getting. I think in comparison to some of the awful porting jobs SE games have been subjected to it's a great port. I think compared to ports in general, it's decent enough but not great. There's no borderless window mode, and frankly the game doesn't look good enough to warrant how demanding it is at lower settings. Plus points for dualshock 4 button icons though.
