Haha, anime reference, good one.
does this work?
sure does
what are some other broken combos? besides green shield ice lobber ofc
Holy shit, fuck you fart smoke
>SJW indie game falls off the radar in less than a week
damn
>watch Pat get fucking annihilated
>decide to get the game because FTL was great
>beat the first island with nothing but perfect victories first try
Jesus, Pat, did you get brain damaged?
4th best selling game on Steam
I just accidentally pressed end turn at my third island's final mission. Jesus christ, I'm so stupid.
I Alt + F4'd my way out of that shit and looks like it worked, thank god
Bad damage
Don't respond to low-effort bait, user
What difficulty did you play?
Was he playing on hard?
Rocket Mech is so good, of the 6 other Ranged Mechs it has +1HP, +1Power, and +1 Ability
Posted this in /vg/
I wanted to see which mechs were statistically the best based on their starting power, abilities, weapons, and movement/HP
Flame Mech and Rocket Mech have the most value, at 2 Abilities/Weapons and +2 starting Reactor Power
I want to try building a team around the idea of using the most optimized, mechs with extra reactors already installed, then replacing their weapons
+1 reactor is 3 extra credits you can spend on weapons instead
Rocket Mech
Flame Mech
Ice Mech or Lightning Mech
is the Challenge, that should yield you with the most optimized mechs by the end of the game, assuming you can swap out their weapons by then
What can I even do here
why are you bugs
Does shooting the pod with your artillery destroy it? If not then do that to knock the bug out of the way, flip the artillery bug to be standing where the other one was so he'll destory the next with his attack, then block the remaining shot with your science mech. No grid damage, not pod destroyed. If it does destory the pod then you have to choose between that and grid damage.
>destroy the next
Destroy the webbing, I mean.
>block the remaining shot with your science mech
Science mech will die though. I'll probably just have to take the grid damage. It really sucks that things like this can happen on the first turn
Oh, right. Bummer. No chance of using that lightning whip and pulling the artillery bug down with the science mech to kill it? I don't know what kind of damage your doing or HP they have.
Does it only do three damage? Your armored mech should be able to block it that way.
judo bodyblock the firefly and zaps it
gravity pull the rockets
rocket shoved the beetle down
How much there is proceduralism in the maps? Are they all made by hand and every game is the same or do the map layout and enemy presence change every time you play?
Also the graphics are bit too amateurish and the smooth text in the dialogue boxes conflicts with the other graphics. I wish they had developed the graphics bit further. The pixel style is good choice but the graphics would need to be more stylished and tighter.
Somehow it feels bit unfinished too. I haven't played much because I don't own it and was thinking about if I should get it or not.
>Are they all made by hand and every game is the same or do the map layout and enemy presence change every time you play?
The latter.
Wouldn't that kill the judo mech?
I like train
First turn, get fucked, kiddo
You can move the mech and test it for yourself without committing, but it depends on how much damage the bug does. If it's three or less then you're set because of the armor.
....in canada this week.
how do I git gud
I can't even finish one playthrough. Do people have perfect runs their first timeline? What kinds of things can you carry over to subsequent timelines?
I mean that beetle that the rocket pushed down would hit the judo mech and finish it off right? It's too late anyway I finished that map ages ago, had to lose the time pod and take 1 grid dmg
No, you shoot behind the beetle to push it down and damage the other bug, he doesn't get pushed.
So then the building would still get hit?
>Are they all made by hand
yes, maps are prebuilt and are randomly chosen
enemies on each island vary by run and at what point you go there
shit, the scarab yea
you can shove it to the side and take the 1 grid from the spider i guess
> What kinds of things can you carry over to subsequent timelines?
One pilot, that's it.
Artillery bug should be dead.
Does that include XP and things like that? Also how do I perfect run my first time? Am I just being a turbo brainlet?
welp I got everything
wake me up when there's an advanced edition
By perfect run you mean all objectives? You're not going to get that your first time. You get fucked out of it by RNG sometimes anyway, you can't do it every time.
You can carry over one pilot and they keep their levels/XP, that's it. You can unlock named pilots with special abilities that you can choose for any future run instead of the one you carry over as well.
OK, thank you. That makes me less anxious.
Thanks. I might get into the game then. It seems like a good way to spend an hour now and then.
I love mechs. Also, is there actually any people who don't love them..

it hurts to watch
That's true, it's the 17th best seller globally.
I feel like you thought of the first one then forced the second.
Try harder next time, 2/10
That's exactly what happened/10
Never played FTL shit and wont play this garbage. Advance wars is infinitely better than breach, and there are plenty of roguelikes better than FTL, like dwarf fortress.
>judoka
thank you for your contribution user
Comparing ITB to Advance Wars is like comparing Star Wars to Star Trek
>comparing DF to FTL just becaue of genre
(You)

Who on earth the final island would be a good boss fight?
I was expecting some super large Vek that can take out your entire squad or boss-tier vek that you had to be careful and use strategyt
But nope it's basically the same as any other mission as you gotta defend pylons for some god damn reason? And then you gotta defend the bomb. And when i saw giant claws reaching out,i thought the bomb would explode and we would drop to fight the boss Vek,but nope, just keep the bomb safe
Can mods even fix this?
With Judoka, which mech to put Prospero in? (gains flying)
I actually think about not watching anymore because he make so many weird mistakes.
I closed the video today when he shot a building with his Zephyr after 3 minute of thinking
>Into the Breach doesn't have a linux port like FTL
Fucking figures.
either wait until we get the extended version the devs will hopefully release or until we get a map creator that autistic anons can make a cohesive endgame map set out of
they said it's coming
Science boy.
Why?
For pulling enemies into hazards.
I hate diggers
Why not Judoka?
Oh well hotdog, glad to hear, can't wait to play the bad boy when the port comes out.
Kinda wish more developers gave love to Linux boys, there gonna have to, Linux is the future.
I don't see a non-disastrous way out of this
It's been the future for 20 years.
I know that, just needs to get more popular to the general public, people don't look at linux as the future of gaming.
How much life in that satellite?
>try out the fire squad
>perfect islands but constantly around 2 grid
The tension is real.
Because he doesn't need it.
Can't really see a move without taking grid damage
It just happens
2, it's turn 1. I don't see how I can get out of this without losing 2 power, a satellite, or the defense lab.
Chautzo wrench don't press robot plus one?
FUCK YOU
OH, OF COURSE
WHY THANK YOU GAME
there is like 15 premade maps per island or some shit , look in the data folder of game
this game gets old real fast like 1 hour
The rockets have 2 HP, so you won't lose one this turn even if the fly hits, which it shouldn't if you play the turn right.
You can't really stop the rock bug thing from doing grid damage, but everything else you can deal with. Sub-optimal mech placement is your biggest issue, really.
Do you think the Judoka might actually win a game guys?
Use your turn reset my dude my dude
Weird that there is no Steam Workshop for the game.
Got out with 1 grid damage.
Third island completed and I got 4 reactor cores in the entire run, the fuck is this bullshit.
Yeah, fuck doing the fourth island, I'm too weak for it.
Do you even get coins for victories?
Only the first time with each squad.
intothebreach.gamepedia.com
Do you mean achievement coins or reputation?
I'm playing on normal, took a break after beating the first island and I'm halfway through the second
Pat was playing on normal, he just was being a moron - protecting his full health mechs instead of protecting buildings, going for kills on harmless enemies, failing to knock enemies into attacking nothing, and generally wasting turns like it was his job.
Just played with judoka for the first time and only got 2 coins, even though I got 2 achievements and won
he thought the 2 while attacking meant it would push an enemy back 2 squares
You gotta grind for more EXP dude, get your reactors boosted, mechs equipped and make a good combo team.
You can do it man.
>mfw people constantly fuck up their initial mech placement
If you're not in a position to body block any threat to your buildings you screwed the pooch
Oh yeah, you only get the coin for getting all 3 medals I guess
>tfw the devs tried so hard to make the UI intuitive and understandable, even to the point of cutting more complex weapons, yet people still fuck up simple stuff like that
I'm not some faggot that follows developer and "gaming culture" what makes it a sjw game? the story is SJW or just a cuck developer made it and so its SJW.
only coins you get for victories are related to achievements
>win the game
>win on hard mode
>win at all 3 game lengths (2,3,4 islands)
>win with 4 different squads
>win with all 10 squads
There are only 2 white people in the game and only about 60% of them are male so Sup Forums is crying about white genocide
Its shitty bait
Besides, it makes sense. All the white people are gone so the world goes to shit
>final mission of the first island
>last turn
>no way to kill the last remaining vek without knocking it into the corporate headquarters
>decide it's better to shoot it into the HQ than let it just destroy it
>DEFENSE GRID - BUILDING UNHARMED
>Gain Coins by completing Achievements!
The instructions are RIGHT THERE and you try and come up with opposing theories. Each achievement is worth one coin. Goddamnit Sup Forums.
Watching Vinny play it was equally painful at first. Luckily at least he had twitch chat to push him in the right direction and actually WON a campaign
It was with the Rustlers, but still.
>decide to keep going because I remembered I left the Ice Island for later
>find this
Guys, is that what I think it is?
