Oh wow I thought Amanita was dead.

did you make the thread yesterday?
i guess i'll buy it

Their previous games were awesome why would they be ded? Just took some time to make this game in a lazy long ass way

i think we can all agree Amanita are the only good developers

Yep I shill for cherries

well dont eat them all at once or you'll get constipation

literally samegame #9 from this dev.

It only looks like Botanicula but much more crazy
Nothing is wrong to be such a cool game you know

that's the thing, all their other games had this nice world while this one looks like some youtubers' channel gimmicks on blank white space

I figured they didn't sell very well outside of Machinarium because it was ported to almost every console while Botanicula is stuck on PC.

nice

such a shame they went full Adventure Time with the design. Judging by dwindling sales with every new title, I don't think they target their games correctly (they think their games are or will be played by children, whereas it's mostly played by adults who want their careless childhood back, but still want be treated with dignity).
In that regard Machinarium was their absolute apogee, Botanicula has started catering to Pendleton crowd, but was still a cute ecosystem to explore with a stunning soundtrack to support it.
Samorost went full-on and turned main character into Finn the human boy to explore the world he doesn't understand.
The axolotl trio performance was great, though

consoles were the least source of income - it's mostly PC and mobile and Botanicula is present on both

It's understandable, though.
After all, the games are standard adventure games. A genre that never really had any sort of traction on consoles.

bump

You're missing the point. They don't have dwindling sales. Machinarium was an outlier and the fact it sold 4 million copies was a huge surprise and it will probably never be repeated. They still have enough money from Machinarium to fund the development of 5 more games. Selling 400,000 copies of a game that was developed by 5 people (Samorost 3) is plenty to make profit.

Also you don't realize that there are small independent teams within Amanita who are working on different games. Machinarium and Samorost 3 was developed by one team, Botanicula and Chuchel by another. That's why Botanicula and Chuchel are more childish and crazy. Also there are another 3 teams that are making unannounced games right now.

All of their games are aimed at both children and adults. I don't understand why you think that in Samorost you're not treated with dignity. And the gameplay of Samorost 3 was pretty much the same as in the previous Samorost games.

come back when you learn how to discuss the topic instead of person involved in it

lel

This looks completly retarded. Where is the story, art and world at?

>Sold the most on Humble Bundle
>Only 7% of revenue from Humble Bundle
That's kinda sad.

The first trailer for this game is a fucking work of art
Specially the sound effects

And that fucking bird holy shit

I didn't like any of the previous Amanita games but man I just can't stop rewatching that trailer.
