I'm reading a book about 1917 and regardless of your politics it's an incredible fucking story. Huge cast of characters with some new crazy event happening every other week. It'd make an amazing game.

Because there are literally no good guys involved. On one side you have the decadent and incompetent nobility and on the other power hungry revolutionists that committed even worse atrocities once they came into power and started in-fighting. but because I see a lot of wasted potential in Battlefield 1.
If only it was modifiable on PC.. If only the PC version had fucking User-Hosted-dedicated-servers instead of forced "Rent-a-server" from EA. Perhaps map-making tools or scripting support of some kind.. Then it would be worth buying.
All those assets, the fucking destructible terrain, all wasted on a boring arcadey shitfest.

If Stalin can be accused of anything it was that he was incapable of subtlety and proper cooperation with others. That was the reason why Lenin explicit in saying Stalin should not in any way take over leadership. But being the person he was Stalin made sure that was exactly what happened. Purges helped, I imagine.
