BUT YOU DONT
/who doesnt work like that you idiot
really makes me think.
I'm pretty sure the people who want legacy servers are forgetting that what made old WoW so great were the people they made friends with, and the experiences involved with that. Not necessarily the balances and state of the world.
whats stopping you from doing that all over again?
imaging trying to kill 10 boars with that many people
Completely different climate for gaming and gaming communities now.
I dunno man I still had a blast playing on Elysium
and on a Feenix vanilla server before that.
what server is this?
>it's another underage retailfag tells everyone what they should enjoy and that their memories are wrong episode
>tfw classic might flop anyway because people won't want to resub so they'll find some free private server instead
Wowwwww a whole 10k players? How'd you do it?
They'll be playing with nothing but chinks. So that's up to them.
I hope it does well, I would love to progress through vanilla/tbc/wotlk again
I think that the great point of classic is that it would prevent the Chinese and other cancers from private servers from being on western servers of they have regional servers like retail.
People will definitely pay for a server they know won't dissapear in a year
This, after 5+ servers in a 2-3 year period most folks get burnt out from rerolling
That's some shitty quads right here.
what is best legacy server and is there one for burning crusade or lich king?
Lights Hope is pretty okay.
wow was changed to cater for idiots who want to play an mmo as a single player game
There's Excalibur for BC, though I don't know if it's the best.
>played vanilla retail
>tried most of the expacs
>mfw nostalgiashitters unironically tell me vanilla is better
I even have a friend who never played anything but a week of TBC who plays vanilla and never shuts up about how bad all the expacs he never played are. Tried a few months on his server and it's just so awful.
>legacy releases
>start ganking people
>get banned for being toxic
What are the downsides of it?
Horde dominates everything.
We don't even know if classic will be a pvp server or not.I can't imagine Blizzard having two servers right off the bat. Maybe down the line if classic exceeds expectations, but splitting the player base right out of the gate would be a bad idea for them.
To be fair. It might be just how it is with current retail. Blizzard refuses to bring the hammer down on out of region players in the NA servers. The result being Two overly populated servers, with stacked faction ratios, that end up being chink containment servers. Illidan horde NA comes to mind. My concern is that blizzard will let the chinks over run this two.
>you think you do but you don't
I remember getting mad as fuck when he first said that
Nowadays I'm already dreading what they'll do to Classic and realized that even if they deliver the same experience with no changes, the magic is already far gone and I don't have time nor energy to invest it all again.
If it's not a pvp server they might as well not even release it.
Does classic have a release date yet?
maybe a few months after bfa?
Hence why people want to play classic so they can redo that experience in a game that isn't shit.
I'm relatively positive he was talking about redoing that experience in classic WoW rather than NuWoW.
No, it's shit. Overpopulated and filled with exploiting Chinese, russians, and bots.
I would probably play horde anyway, is that the primary downside? Doesn't sound too bad then.
I guarantee you I will play it.
I've played on private servers but I dislike how shady and unstable they are, there are tons of people who feel the same way as me too; I couldn't convince my brother to join me because he doesn't like pirating shit.
Ah, is that obvious in every part of the game? Or just in battlegrounds and high end raids?
well they are the horde
Every part. You have to realize that the server is very progressed on the vanilla timeline to established players/guilds are very geared so all of the gold making spots/methods are overfarmed and most people your level will be alts who get pimped out by a rich main. Plus the questing areas are generally overpopulated.
I went through the launch of Nost's PVE realm. Only way you could do anything was grouping. Stayed that way for a week. I can only imagine how has the main realm was.
I have had fun on warmane for both those expansions
Warmane let's you move over your TBC character too
It literally does, in vanilla, work like that you brainlet.
HAHAHAHA you massive retard, as if they'd take away audience from the main cash flow to the other "novelty".
Classic, if it ever releases, will be during "content draught" after BFA's main patches and raid tiers are done, like Diablo 3's release. Blizzard isn't dumb.
I'm thinking of rolling a druid on classic, I know that as a hybrid they are low on the vanilla scale but they are fun to level/play and get better during TBC
Classic is going to be the main cash flow, retailcuck. BfA is the novelty.
>stable
>lag free
>not likely to close down in a year
>NO XIAOS
The last one is reason enough to resub for classic. Fuck those ant people.
Whatever lets you sleep at night. I hate both "games", just dropping some redpills.
Enjoy paying monthly for a 14 years old game.
hence why he said a few months after bfa you dunce
typically the biggest drop off point for sub numbers is a few months after an expansion when everyone has completed the baseline experience and the end game treadmill begins, that would be a perfect time to release something that will keep people on-board
I will resub for it like a loser
Classic will most likely be released after BFA's last raid tier, during the approximate 6 months of no content before the next expansion.
For reference, Diablo 3 was released globally on may 15 2012. Meanwhile, WoW's Dragon Soul tier was coming to an end: wow.gamepedia.com
And the next expansion, Pandaria, was on closed beta at the time and eventually released right before September 2012: wow.gamepedia.com
I'd be surprised if it flopped. There's enough nostalgia for Classic WoW for people to be willing to at least pay for an official server, provided the entry price matches general expectations for a 10-year old game.
Dunno how profitable it'll be past month 1 though.
HAHAHAHAHAHA
>druid
>vanilla
oh boy oh boy HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH
this is proof that you didn't play vanilla
...
>being so autistic you missed the part where I said I know they are bad
>WE DID IT BROS WE SURE SHOWED BLIZZ LMAO
>75% of all players leave after hitting lvl 15
That wouldn't make sense, most people would be long done with the game by then, and you're talking about 2+ years after bfa's release, people won't give a fuck, you need to release it while people are craving more, which would be after the bfa hype is gone and people are doing repetitive shit like WQs and the same 5 dungeons to gear up for a raid tier, you're speaking about something else completely, these are all seperate games outside of having an active WOW sub
I think you doubt the demand/dedication of people that love early iterations of the game
>thinking this is how it will flop instead of blizzard ruining it
yeah sure there's a niche for it but pretending like anywhere close to that many people actually stuck around to play and didn't awkwardly stop playing after 10-20 levels is pathetic
It was glorious. I made an undead rogue and ran over to Mulgore since the forsaken starting zone was impossible to tag a single mob in. The tauren players started yelling at us to get out of their zone since it was the least populated one. We told them they had to accept refugees from the other starting zones because they were part of the Horde now.
If lots of people are active on classic or will be interesting to see what the long term goals are, classic wow lasted for 3 years before bc, I'm sure its safe to assume we will have vanilla patches rolled out gradually but will we go back to BC? Or will we be stuck in vanilla for longer than it lasted on release ?
>vanilla players will defend this
If you genuinely think Blizzard would release a massive timesink like Vanilla during BFA's peak attendance, you're a brainlet.
And no, modern WoW and Classic are not the same game, they're direct competitors and Blizzard knows it.
The comparison to Diablo 3's release window stands. Offer something else while BFA is slowly ending and people are done with the content waiting for the NEXT expansion to show itself.
fun game play
>nost is going smooth
>chinaman sees an opportunity to make money out of thin air like a parasite once again
>gold farming and bots everywhere
>people on the forums beg for them to just range ban china
>nost team pulls out the race card and lets the gooks stay
>game economy crashes and burns until the servers die off for good
Really made me angry
defend a hunter meleeing a mob?
Lol. Poor hunters. Life is pain before level 10
Hmm yes, I wonder why one of the first quests you get when you have basically no spells looks really simple in an MMO from 2004. Gee, a real headscratcher.
It's a hunter in low-level melee and you have a specific skill to block the heal. Enemies who could actually do that were rare as fuck too.
How else are they supposed to teach your dumb ass to use certain skills in certain contexts? I guess the answer is they don't.
I don't even fucking like WoW, but wow. check my six
They knew if they stopped chinks from farming gold they'd DDOS the servers constantly, it happened with Kronos for a few months.
i dont see an interrupt on those bars anywhere user
>enemy has healing spells
>uses them
>WOOOW NO FAIR!
unironically kys.
It's right there you you double [Dirge]
>nost team pulls out the race card and lets the gooks stay
How naive can you get? They were getting a cut. Why do you think Blizz went hard on them? Because they tolerate private servers but never when the owners are profiting
how is this a profitable amount of people
This is only something that happens on private servers. They will find a work around for the opening server shitfest that will happen.
I think they will rework some quests to make it possible.
This isn't that bad, but the ones where you have to loot something in the world that despawns is rough. Dun Morogh has one early on, and Loch Modan has a really annoying one. When one group loots it, every other group has to wait a few minutes for it to respawn.
>A bunch of level 1s
>Meaning anything
How many of them stayed? How many played longer than a month? How many even made it a week?
That's in one zone, brainlet.
So why are all the Twinstar servers still up after so many years when they've got literal cash shops on them, you misinformed little wretch?
>the only races in the game are orcs and trolls
low IQ post.
If 10k play on pirate servers then you will get 100k or so in retail. Even that low ballpark estimate is worth $18 million a year.
Can't use it in melee you faggot.
Blizzard have gone on record saying they fully expect a large chunk of the "tourist" population to drop off after a short while on Classic launch. They don't give a fuck about you m8, you lost.
What the fuck did Blizzard do to the weather effects? Playing on a private server in Tirisfal Glades reminded me the game used to have a weather cycle. Not only that but when it rained it was a damn downpour with amazing sound to go with it.
Now weather is set in stone and if it is a gloomy/stormy zone the effects that go along with it are weak.
Just fucking kite it
Not to be that guy, but from what I remember of my hunter you're supposed to kite like a motherfucker and spam your actual GOOD abilities like the DoT and heavy shot. Standing there in melee is like spamming your autoattack as mage and complaining about how long its taking.
They are located in Eastern Europe, that's like saying a pirate server from China is going to get sued. Not gonna happen. Nost was located in France which is a first world country where laws are enforced
>Huntard
>Concussive shot
>Just stands there and melees
Just how I remember in Vanilla. He'll be rolling need on polearms in no time.
only virgins who never played wow vanilla themselves INTENSIVELY (not you mr "i leveled to 30 and then gave up") know that it's always like this. 500.000 people at the launch and then it slowly dies.
It does/did. Why are you telling lies on the internet?
>leveling takes forever. nobody with a life has time for that in 2018
>no heirlooms, have to worry about finding new gear constantly
>no dungeon finder, nobody is going to run instances
>not enough quests
>no transmog, everyone is ugly
>no flying
>no lfr so players are FORCED to group just to play the content their subscription entitles them to. bigotry against those with social anxiety or alternate playstyles.
>no anti-bully or anti-misogyny measures in place, like group tagging
>no phasing, other players can screw up your quests or even kill you
>no achievements...what's the point of doing anything?
most people group up inside there
idiot retail player doesn't remember how MMOs work
>you lost.
Lost what? What does this even mean?
This is tasty bait, but the anti-misogyny/bullying bullet point gives the hook away.
>night elf hunter being fucking garbage at the game
I don't see anything out of the ordinary, here.
this is just proving how fucking retarded wowdrones are nowadays
I remember when people thought Dota 2 custom games would revive the WC3 custom game days.
Classic can be everything people wanted it to be but the fact is times changed and so did the people who played it. There's a huge difference between playing on a custom server with a small group of people you can actually talk to as opposed to a huge corporation that will ban you for saying gg ez.
that cave was aids without a group desu
