No. He's dominated in recent NetherRealm Studio games (mortal kombat/Injustice) and was a champion in Skullgirls. He's never even come close in the anime scene, and hasn't fared amazingly in the DBFZ scene either outside of small gatherings.

If you hold the world record score in a shmup chances are you don't hold any other world records. Getting the world record for a single game is such a huge time investment and the majority of the work is going to be specific to that game rather than a matter of improving your skills in general. Someone that's good at a lot of games generally be better at games in general than someone that holds a record, but someone that's good in general isn't likely to get any significant records. Non obscure fighting games tend to have players at the top that primarily play one of them.
