Prove yourself right first
Nah you're right. Post your favorite track:

I agree. It's fantastic on its own but the way its used throughout the game elevates it even further.

Agreed. Posting best tracks

I preferred xenoblade 2 but nier was a close second. Mitsuda is just too good
But that was last year.
NieR music is overrated asf. I don't see the appeal in gibberish lyrics for songs.
it is the OST of the year every year user...
>asf
I think it makes more sense if you're the kind of person who listens to foreign music anyway. I've always made up the meanings of songs when it was in languages I couldn't understand. This is like a deliberate version of that.
We can't, and we don't want to try. It's amazing.

The soundtrack is so good it's a better soundtrack for other games than their osts
The only thing better is the first nier
the best version
good user
2nd best soundtrack of the year

>still haven't found a game that manages to fill that giant void Automata left
It hurts bros.
Absolutely and utterly wrong. It's the OST of the decade.
...
>all the best songs from this OST were just ripped from the first game
lmao
which giant void user?
Automata will be with you forever
It definitively was GOTY last year, I haven't played anything that comes even close
It's so hard to pick a favorite but this is the first that popped into my head.

I literally can't because it won an award for exactly that.
...
>music has to be in your language to convey emotion
t. brainlet
It just feels wrong to play other games after it.

I fucking hated the game and how everyone only talks about 2bs ass but you're right. The ost is amazing, shame it's not on Spotify
Yeah, you right
I played BotW, Odyssey, and Persona 5 all after Automata and still consider Automata to be GOTY. It stuck with me for over a fucking month after finishing it.
What the fuck, it was mediocre as fuck. Literally only the soundtrack was great.
>its another weaboo user gets sucked in by ominous female vocals to background music episode
stop
Didn't Cuphead win best soundtrack?
Are you literally retarded?
80% of the game is just usless running around the empty areas for fetch side quests. Its shit for the majority of the game, the few good parts really don't make up for it
>80% of the game is just usless running around the empty areas for fetch side quests
To me that sounds way more like BotW than N:A, to be honest.
Side quest design isn't the games strongest suit, sure, but I was never bored because I liked the atmosphere (of which the OST is a huge part, of course) and most of the individual set pieces.
Also there are plenty of great individual moments in the game that almost no game from last year can match for me
>mash X to win combat
>if the stars align and something might hit you just spam dodge and turn invincible
>really shitty side quests
>297 healing items within the first 2 hours of playing
>majority of the game is spent running around
>that hacking mini game ayy
great game fags
You press square to attach, user
>was
I liked Gravity Rush 1's + 2's soundtracks better, but I guess that'd be cheating since 1 was released 6 years ago and 2 reuses a good chunk of the tracks.
Yes, was.
This and Blissful Death
You can play with an Xbone controller, in which case it's X to win.
The GR2 soundtrack is still really good even without the songs from the first game

>playing the PC version
RIP
Why would I? You're right.
Seriously This ost is just incredibly all around, there's nothing to throw away.
I remember playing the first Nier and being blown away by the music, I was expecting to be a bit disappointed by Automata's music because you know, you can't top perfection.
And they fucking did it.
It's impossible to choose a favorite but I'll go with those for now.

it's what you make of it
>need to get 2 endings before shit starts to pick up.
fuck me, that was a chore going through A/B
Virtuous treaty is the best looking weapon this game, hands down
I know, but hearing the old town theme again made me feel things no other OST in 2017 has gotten close to replicating.
Xenoblade 2, Automata and Ys VIII had the best music last year.
Easily the best
Cuphead is close and so is persona 5
PREY and DivinityOSII and GR2 had some standout tracks, but overall weren't as strong ad the above.
I really just can't get into this game because of the discount Yuri Lowenthal.
All I wanted was for everyone to be happy. Was that too much to ask.
I was doing so well until Ending E when it started pointing questions towards me.
IS IT ALL POINTLESS?
DO YOU THINK GAMES ARE SILLY LITTLE THINGS?
DO YOU ADMIT THERE IS NO MEANING IN THIS WORLD?
All the while The Weight of the World is playing making you truly feel like you are part of the song. It got me so hard.
>mfw I ask someone what the best track in P5 is and they don't say Futaba's Palace, Whims of Fate or Layer Cake
There's a lot of great songs, but the simple ones are the ones I enjoyed the most. Like the instrumental version of Beneath the Mask and Sweet
yeah made me feel real guilty to not delete my save after heh heh
>he didn't delete his save
Sure hope you beat the creditboss without any save files as human shields.
a save file isn't deleted from the server every time you get hit, that's not how it actually works
>Alien Manifestation
My fucking nigger.
I can name at least 3 games from 2017 with more memorable OST.
No, Automata won.
>prove me wrong
Easy
i won't post about how 10/10 it is because everyone knows that, just wanted to say that i copied it to my car radio. sometimes it works great, sometimes it makes me retarded
>casual drive home, bit of rain
>suddenly, youtube.com
>involuntarily started cutting some corners, exiting some other corners on full throttle sideways
but youtube.com
I wish I had a car or even a license to do stuff like this.
Driving at night alone with good music is a wonderful experience.
