Seriously ruined all other RPGs for me, couldn't even though bravely default after this one
Possibly he best RPG on 3DS
I agree that it's the best on the 3ds, shame IV:A had to dilute the atmosphere with the whole "power of friendship" shtick. If IV had the qol improvements that came forth in IV:A, it would probably be my favorite jrpg. It might be regardless
Truly a great game, Apocalypse is even a tad better. (From a gaemplay standpoint)
I like Bravely Default more.
Agreed
Agreed
It has one of the best worlds in gaming history, incredible atmosphere, the blasted/infernal segments were god-tier, excellent OST, I love it SO much.
It's one of like 5 games I ever bothered to replay.
I really wish Apocalypse didn't fuck with the atmosphere and tone so hard.
>Not killing your friends
dissapointed in you boyo
Is Citra developed enough to run this?
For sure, though I find some of the gamplay to be a lot better in IV:A such as the map and showing you the percentage of demons caught.
I can never forgive them for changing the hunter association music though.
I know this doesn't generally happen in SMT but I wish the routes in apocalypse split earlier in the game. I'd be okay with the smarmy friendship bits being in the game if they were a player choice in the beginning and I wasn't forced to endure it for 40 hours of gameplay.
I'm hoping SMT V builds on IV while learning from it. I'm not usually a quantity over quality type of guy but the sheer number of demons in IV was impressive and made the party very dynamic, I was switching in new demons constantly. There's no way that V will have as many demons but I hope it's enough to satisfy, and there's no reskins.
Are you fucking shitting me?Yes.
The upcoming update will improve the performance at least twofold.
It lost a lot of the creepiness of the original, same feeling I felt when first playing the first installment. I really like how the human sprites look like faceless pixelated photos, it felt a bit uncanny.
they already have a lot of models to work with from Persona 5 if I'm not mistaken, so they can port them over and work on new ones
plsnobully
I haven't kept up with it since I only had a toaster when it was first announced.
Which dialogue options give me the highest probability to recruit demons without wasting too many resources?
source?
Granting one or two requests then ending talks is pretty effective but I think the chance of that working depends on the demon
Definitely has the best job system of any game ever, but aside from that I don't see what else it has for it.
Godly art direction and music, satisfying difficulty for a FF game, classic JRPG feel with a few twists.
Ability to turn off random encounters from the beginning of the game.
The art direction was mostly nullified by the flat overhead polygonal dungeons. Some of the towns had nice setpieces but there wasn't much else going for it.
Even those dungeons looked nice, coloring and textures were on point. And characters and monsters designs were superb.
Ah, wrong game sweetie.
Goddamn, why are EO games such borefests, I've tried every game in the 3ds and always end up dropping them 30 minutes in
That's the worst one though
>worst EO
Not the best in its own series tho'
DS
3 > 1 > 2
3ds
5 > U2 > 4 > U1
>4 > U1
Wrong
Dragon Quest 7 and 8 are obviously the best JRPGs on the system.
>Excelent OST
*ginza noises in the background*
The blasted places also had way more potential
>1 > 2
Blatantly false, you should actually play them
t. used to believe this until I actually played them
Excellent taste.
U1 has a shitty grimoire system and worse maps than the original.
That's my number 2, this game single handedly got me into first person dungeon crawlers. I love the role play in it, I really felt immersed when they would describe the scenes in detail, I never really experienced that until playing these types of games
I played them both and I disagree.
t. played them both and enjoyed 1 more
Ikebukuro goes so goddamn hard, weird that it's an abandoned settlement for such a upbeat song
Still better than 4
>worse maps than the original
fuck off, stratum 5 having zero shortcuts is just tedium
I liked when you come back to mikado
Felt good "coming back home " albeit for a short while
