With GTA IV's 10th anniversary next month, can we expect a remaster before RDR2 launches? Hopefully it doesn't change too much, just makes the overall presentation cleaner.

Why not? After they release RDR2, they could announce GTA VI and its release date, so that after the hype around RDR2 dies down, Rockstar can release GTA VI.
Also, do I need to play the original RDR to play RDR2? I've never played the original, and I don't have an Xbox One for the backwards compatibility.
A good re-do of RDR1 would've been nice as well, considering the PS3 version is ugly as sin and I don't have a 360.
