I'll prolly play them till i fucking die and to hell with what anyone thinks about it

When you stop breathing

Whenever I feel like I am.

I say never.

You're never too old for games or having fun

video gaming starts at 25

When Sup Forums nerds say you are

Right around the age that you decide you can do what you want that makes you happy as long as it isn't illegal or hurting anyone.

Unless I loose all my limbs or go crazy I will probably never stop playing.

I turn 30 this year and I've been playing them since I was about 5 years old, why would I ever need to stop?

My dad is in his 60s. He plays games all the time.

When you're too old to watch movies or read fiction. Basically when your body has deteriorated to the point of senility, blindness etc.

Past a certain point a grown man that plays videogames can be a bad thing.

"Too old" how?

Including vidya amirite.

It is always hilarious how other forms of media try to claw back what they lost by ridicule or denouncing vidya.
I haven't watched TV or blockbuster for 7 years.

Unironically this. Everything before was just a warm-up.

When you lost interest

Probably in few years when carpal tunnel really starts kicking in.

When you're married with children because there is no time anymore.
For a lot of people the gap of true gaming is really small, you only really get to play video games at it fullest when you have a job and disposable cash.

I have been working for two years and I have finished more games than I did in the ten years before hand.

>not playing multiplayer games while half blind and senile and making kids rage at your incompetence
step it up

Casper knew this.

Kek

Alright, wow. Just curious with all the hate towards video games going on right now.

>no time anymore.
Unless you're willing to sacrifice sleep, but of course that's unhealthy.

>"user, you still play videogames? Aren't you in your 20's?"

>"user, you still play videogames? Aren't you in your 20's?"
That doesn't answer the question

>LOL U STILL PLAY GAMES? GROW UP GET A LIFE

>have kids that will suck up all your free time and hundreds of thousands of dollars for at least 18 years who will grow up to resent you
>loveless marriage with a person who becomes less attractive and more annoying with every passing year
>get a job so you can have a house and a car that you can be in for the 1/3 of the day you're not at your job

When you suck at aiming

>user, you still play videogames? Aren't you in your 20's?
Who says this?

When you're dead.

when you feel like you're too old.

Never, you're too old to be competitive when you hit 25 though. Your reactions start to go and you're just inferior. fighting games are a prime example as they're definitely one of the pinnacles of hand-eye coordination in gaming, RTS is another, you never see anyone competing getting in the top 10 unless they're under 30, usually under 25.

When did the friendly ghost ever state his opinion on video games?

You're never too old to have some fun. I hope I'll still be able to play some vidya when I'm 70 something.

It's strange. I've never once encountered anyone who talked shit about video games or thought they were childish outside of maybe highschool. Even then, people still casually played. Hell, at my current job they have three Wii Us set up with fucking Mario Kart and they have regular tournaments. Most people have just accepted video games on the same level as just going out to the movies or something.

You don't get this kind of wholesome content anywhere else C:

Tokido is 32.

>seeing your kids as a waste of time and money instead of a continuation of your legacy
No wonder you think they'll grow up to resent you
>thinking that marriage is a ball and chain instead of your mutual devotion to each other
Not like you'll be getting any prettier either
>1/3 of the day spent not working
Wow user, didn't know you plan on working 16 hour days.

grandma has shit taste

>I'm not very good. I'm kinda derpy.
If she were younger I would hate her, but shes adorable.

you're never too old for games but your taste in games will change to create the illusion that you're "too old." when i got older i just stopped caring about online shit.

Damn, I wish I could play games with my grandpa

What age you are to old to watch movies?
To read books?
To play sports?

Remember kids, being old means no longer entertaining yourselves or having any fun!

Playing vidya would probably be a massive help to the loneliness problem old people go though.

Do you work at Google or something?

Or worsen it, if they were given fighting games as their only games.

This is false. Post a little proof, there isn't any so I won't sit and wait.

People are less likely to be competitive because they are busy living their life outside of hundreds of hours of monthly practice to stay competitive. Same thing happens with most other sports and competition, or the person gets hurt.

ever hear of this thing some people do called sleeping
go ahead and do all that shit if that's what you consider happiness, I'll just be over here doing whatever the fuck I want, whenever the fuck I want

It can help prevent dementia and keep hand-eye coordination up too.

Hello 16 year old fedora tipper

you'll live in misery and regret with nobody to care for you or love you and will die alone when your parents and all your relatives are dead
but by the time you realize all this it'll be too late for you with no way to turn things around

So what are the five signs, if you're so good?

>When you're married with children because there is no time anymore.

>not playing with your kids

terrible parent

There are a couple 30+ competitive gamers, but on average and overall you are correct. It's the same with sports.

Could you imagine being so dead and jaded that you want other people to live joylessly like you?

My Grandfather owns a GameCube.
He's retired, and currently dealing with health problems.
His favorite game is Super Mario Sunshine.

>Do you work at Google or something?
Nah. Just an advertising agency in NY. I do auditing for them. Most of the office unironically uses motion controls.

You know what that user's post feels like to me? An excuse.

I hate that they made her say these "whats up fellow kids" things

Unironically though I'm a loser albeit with a good job I'll probably end up 70 and playing 90's videogames like darklands bitching on Sup Forums that they dont make good vidya anymore while everyone is playing mind-machine interfaced videogames

if you say so
btw, everyone dies alone
true story

When are people going to give Social Media some of the attention video games get? Way more people are addicted to social media than video games. The old joke that Sup Forums doesn't play any games is there for a reason.

>favorite game is skyrim
whatapleb

I'm autistic and I don't want to pass my fucked up genes onto the next generation. It's great to have an excuse.

I firmly believe people only act like "only young people play video games" because video games didn't exist when old people were young and by the time they got old they already had other interests and hobbies, and 50 years from now it won't be weird at all for old people to play video games

I'd be more worried of dying in a group, because that's usually when horrible shit goes down.

Bombs, mass shootings, plane crashes, car accidents, train derailment, war.

I'd say when you lack the energy to play them. Though that usually just means you'll need to put more effort into doing it. But it may still be a sign that you'e too old.
But otherwise the answer is never. Healthy old people can play videogames until their death bed. It's just not as easy. Nothing is.

cute.

That'd be awesome to play multiplayer games with my grandma. I tried showing her some games but she just ends up getting motion sickness. Same thing with my mom as well.

>That's in user
>Step into our soul-sucking capitalist machine!
>Forget self worth and and sense of being and individual! Fear death and being alone!
How you can tell someone hasn't come to terms with their own mortality.

Hi wagesave.

when your reflexes and sight dont let you be competent at games.

Having kids is the most selfish and destructive thing a person can do.

>having a relationship
>capitalism

Pick one

>I've been playing games since the 90s
>my favorite game is skyrim
Poor grandma got senile somewhere along the way.

archive or pastebin

There are no age restrictions for wizards

Lol. I'm actually going to try this when I'm 80+. If I remember...

I remembered the meme line itself, but it took me considerable effort to remember the show. Perhaps I'm actually getting too old for this.

>Self-worth
>While being neet

Good jock user.

As you get older, you should be playing games with increasing complexity. If you intend to just play boring vapid shit, then you should probably quit before you're 30.

Its the same with tv, they ignore it because its okay as long as I they do it.

I'm surprised that this thread only has a few faggots. Do whatever you want as long as its not hurting anyone.

>start fearing the days where my reflexes slowly can't keep up with games anymore
I really hope we get full body matrix tier immersion so I can enjoy vidya forever

Never, it's an open hobby and you can play literally anything

>you only really get to play video games at it fullest when you have a job and disposable cash.

the uni years were the gaming years

Who cares, do what you want

This is when you move to RPG's or grandstrats. Or slower RTS games like Wargame or something.

Why though. You have nothing to gain from video games as a hobby other than entertainment.

>favorite game is skyrim
Into the trash it goes.

B-but muh social pressure!

Everyone dies alone. Did you fall for the "family by the bedside" meme? That's a movie trope, it doesn't happen irl.

at around 17

guess you missed out during the golden age, huh?

Anyone have that other video of grandma playing Disgaea 4?

>tfw can't tell if I've grown out of videogames or if I'm just in depressed gamer mode
I want to like games but I always shut them off after five minutes.

You are never too old to play videogames.
Unless we are talking about MMOs or online gaming. They have no objective, no story and you achieve literally nothing while you waste hundreds of hours of your life. If you still play online games, you would improve your life greatly just by stopping with this addiction.

Casual grandmas are the worst

What? That happens plenty.
