My apologies to everybody I skipped because I'm a pleb that would need to 1/1 or 0/0 your chart.

The plot felt extremely out of place for the series; it gives Kiryu some pretty good development and depth that he arguably doesn't get again until 6, but, other than that, I found it extraordinarily dull and boring. The combat was a good step up, but the environments were less interesting to me than their counterparts in 1. I regard Y2 as the black sheep of the mainline Yakuza series; I get why a lot of people like it, but it's just not what I want from a Yakuza game.

Digging the typography but you could stand to ensure the photos have enough contrast, some of the letters are getting lost in the background unfortunately. Don't put a stroke on them, but I'd recommend either moving the backgrounds slightly to allow more contrast where the letters get lost, or manually going in with maybe the burn tool in photoshop if you have access to that and darkening up where appropriate. Subtly, but it'll be really effective. Personally I'd say track the letters back in just a hair, too, they look a bit too airy and delicate for a title.

W101 is not a perfect game, but it hits every mark really fucking well. It will keep surprising you, one way or another, and there's really nothing like it gameplay-wise. FighterZ is basically an anime fighter put into the Marvel formula except ArcSys basically had a checklist of problems with Marvel 3 and addressed most of them with how they designed it. Great overall package and I'm excited for the content coming for it.

The game or the series? The series is a very arcade-y SEGA franchise where you shoot guns and missiles from your jet at the enemy and save the world from the threat; really simple stuff but really fun. Climax is basically Afterburner II (a really awesome game, especially if you ever get to play the cabinet with the gyroscope) with PS3-level graphics, smoother gameplay, better/new mechanics, branching paths, etc. Pure arcade bliss; you can even use ABII's OST if you want.

Sadly, Climax is no longer available on PSN, so your only option is hunting down a cabinet, but that cabinet will lack all the unlockable variable modes you can apply to your run and the Practice/Stage Select Mode. Real shame. The upgraded remaster of ABII on 3DS is almost as good though, and even features an extra mode with new mechanics that makes it play more like Climax.

Yeah, it sucks. Same thing happened to TF Devastation recently, so that's 2 of my absolute favorite games now having me cling to my copy. At least TFD is a physical disc.

Dark Cloud is a mish mash of a ton of different mechanics and concepts, mixing world builders, dungeon crawlers, and ARPGs. All of the mechanics feed into each other pretty well once you get past the first dungeon, going to dungeons to unlock world building that allows you to continue dungeoning. It's the perfect adventure game and goddamn is the aesthetic and music great. It's a game you can easily get sucked into and if you get invested in the story, is extremely satisfying. The did a remake on PS4 for $15 bucks and it is absolutely worth your time

As for puzzle games, the ones with either fantastic twist or great writing are what your searching for, and ghost trick embodies both. The game oozes charm from the start screen and has some of the most memorable characters I've ever seen. The puzzles are unique in their approach and the game is always hitting you with new challenges, but isn't overly complicated or obtuse. seriously, go play Ghost Trick

3/3, 4/4 if I count Xrd. The whole Strider series is even more of a blindspot to me than most series; 2 and the reboot both seem good though. What's the bottom middle?

Also, funny that two charts in a row had MvC2 on them. Usually I don't even see that game in these threads. I prefer UMvC3 myself but 2 has this weird magnetic charm that a game as rushed as it is shouldn't logically have.

Money Puzzle Exchanger, a neat little head-to-head puzzle game that is sort of like a more in-depth Magical Drop.

2's presentation just really encapsulates a kind of bubbly, colorful late 90s Capcom charm that I kind of fetishize, probably due to associations. Doesn't hurt that it's a blast to play and has Hayato in it, either.

I just can't get into 3's graphics. I love me some lovingly made sprites. Recycled or not. The heavy spot blacks on the 3 models just makes them look even worse.

What do you mean? Kirby's fun, you take enemies abilities, beat them & bosses up, can collect stuff and it all has a cute aesthetic to it from the art style & upbeat music. Also in Super Star's case it has a bit of variety due to all of the game modes focusing on different things.

If we were posting 4x4s you'd see htoL#NiQ on there, I love that game so much but prefer Rose just a tiny bit more. Also I have the first Yomawari's LE, I never beat it though. I wish I was able to buy the sequel's LE also a while back. The Silvercase I've been interested in for a bit but haven't played & DeSPIRIA looks neat as hell based on a quick search.

You really should try it. It's a good slow platformer with RPG elements. Like Castlevania 2 but done right. It's tricky in places difficultywise and the music is great. it's a fun play.

Yakuza 0 seems like it would be ok. Never played any of the series.
XCX and XC2 are probably decent enough for them being a JRPGs and all. Pity about the undocked downgrade on the latter.
SMO seems like an A-typical challengeless collectathon. Make Mario go there. Great. Next.
SMS is basically the same as SMO though at least the no fludd levels are tight focused stages
Half Life 2 is probably OK enough. The last PC FPS game I cared about is Descent.
Sonic Heroes is difficult to judge because I'm more in the camp of "The Sonic games were never good" and after dropping SA after 5 minutes I've never touched the series again. It seems like Mania is better but I don't know.
Zelda series I haven't played after LTTP.

Overall, Yakuza 0 looks out of the place given the rest of the list, and I think you should loosen your mouth from Nintendo's personified cock just a little bit more. Just a bit.

I just can't t into Kirby and when I see people exited for each new game I feel like I am missing something even if I know there is nothing for me in it.

More like persona as a spin of smt. I tried p3fes on release it was ok but I gave up p4 on vita and more recently p5 ps4.
3d dot hero is a meta game about top down action rpg done by from software. The style is amazing and it deconstructed many troops of the genre.
As persona have a similar gameplay as evolution series on dc you should check them with timestalker. And rhythm deconstructed run run run is a must have too.

Worst taste I've seen on Sup Forums in a very long time. Mario 3 is the only okay game there.
