Im pretty curious about working in the industry. Lately I've had a half a mind thinking about leaving my shitty job and try to seriously start a game studio, to work on some of my own ideas and stop feeling like such a drain on my core hobby, if i could build some funding, i might be nutsy enough to actually do it.
I'd be interested in learning a lot more about coding, development, publishing and whatnot. I already know a decent amount about it, but not enough to feel confident in even bothering to make a game.
Anyone want to help a guy understand the industry?

Every industry is tough to get into because you're on your own and need to either be qualified enough for an already established studio to hire you or do all of the work on your own and create an indie game.
After that you'll start to get in contact with other people in the industry which will help you in a lot of ways.
