What would living like this feel like?
Dreadnought W40K
salty milk and coins
Definitely not as good as piloting the tau battle suit.
fuck off.
it is better that my thread died than have tau shit in here.
You're just a glorified CPU at that point, does a dreadnought have much conscious thought?
Loyalist ones are not that bad, I guess.
Chaos ones are a shitfest. Praise Nurgle!
You know what's up, my blue vagina faced man.
This is why I can't get into 40k. Everyone seems to circle jerk over Space Marines, the most boring of the races.
Well, not everyone. You just have to understand humanity rules the galaxy. There are some like you that walk the heretic path. Why someone would choose not to serve The Emperor is beyond me tho.
Sleep all the time, except for war.
Waking means war.
because serving the Emperor is fucking boring
Tyranid master race
>humanity rules the galaxy
That's probably the Nids.
yeah, all of it
you just share a body with a machine spirit, also this
that sounds like a lower circle of hell
it's not that bad, all things considered
you sleep, and when you're not sleeping it's because it's time to fuck shit up
also you always have a machine spirit with you so you're never lonely, and it'll take care of you and aid you as you fight
Well you're also a massive stompy war machine with a huge Gatling canon and a power fist that can crush steel, maybe some missiles or laser cannons... And you were a Space Marine before, so you're raised for war. So being able to skip boring stuff and going straight to murdering enemies of humanity is pretty cozy, as far as the setting goes.
Now Chaos dreadnoughts, they often go insane because of various reasons.
but how do you jerk off
it's not known if space marine cocks work, so you probably didn't jerk off before being put in the thing
what are they even fighting for then
Cold
Bad enough that they're put to sleep whenever they aren't being used for whatever reason.
and chaos dreadnoughts are different because?
stephen hawking wishes he had this.
TWINS THEY WERE
being in a dreadnought is agonizing for some reason. however being an imperial knight isn't somehow.
Because they house Chaos Marines, who are crazy asshole to believe with, and also their tech is more crude and primitive, being pre-Heresy scraps. So in TT they have (or had) a chance of going haywire and shooting their own forces.
Imp Knight is just a mech piloted by a noble guy (or gal) who inherited it.
Far older engines. Likely deamonic machine spirit that's going to be whispering and gnawing at what remains of your soul or outright screaming at you constantly for blood in some cases. There's a slew of reasons why most traitor marines fear being put in a dread whereas it's an honor for loyalists.
Mostly because the Imperium at least puts the "pilot" in a coma when their dreads are being transported or stored. Chaos just switches off the controls so they're left awake and suffering for years on end with nothing to kill.
Chaos dreads are locked inside their suit with some kind of horrid warp spirit. Being put into a Dread as a spess muhreen is considered a great honor (although it probably sucks desu). For Chaos it is considered a punishment.
I want it, bad user. I want a first person Dreadnought shooter where you can customize your gear. Ideally this would be a campaign where you kill heretical scum.
Space Marine had a (third person) Dreadnought DLC, but it was multiplayer only and it's fucking dead now.
They're always awake and in constant excruciating pain.
They are built so that the marine inside is in unending and complete agony making them go fucking berserk on the battlefield. After a fight they pump them full of enough sedatives that it would kill a normal man and still have to chain them up for safety.
They don't just chain them up. They remove the sarcophagus and chain up the empty dreadnought. With warp fuckery it is possible that something will possesses the dreadnought so it can go on a killing spree just for laffs.
