Failing my intro to C++ class
Other urls found in this thread:
Try C# instead. It's easier.
We can help user!
C++ ruined my life.
sorry you're not superior enough for drone work user.
maybe something like a trade might be better for your dumb redneck ass
Try E and work your way up to S++
I started learning c++ when I was 13
>failing an intro class
How retarded are you?
>C# is just c++ with another ++ on top
...
See the birghtside, when you're a brainlet you get to enjoy games more
>Took C++
>Tfw no book, so I had to look up most assignment answers from Chegg
Its not fair, bros. That class was dope as fuck
I just remembered that one girl in my class that was convinced that C++ and C# was the same thing because she thought the # looked like two pluses insides each other.
Don’t worry, I have no idea how to code at all, so I’m in pharmacy instead.
i failed intro to python twice
mostly because of laziness
how
>failing intro
good, we don't need another bioware developer
>laziness
you can't be serious
>tfw to smart to understand for loops and if statements
Kek, that shit is easy. By 4th or 5th semester you're expected to be building compilers and shit. Good luck.
Just wait until you have to do matlab.
>can't cut it as a coder
>is somehow going to make it in a trade
That doesn't seem likely.
>it's another compsci fag hits the wall and realizes he's a brainlet episode
NO NO NO OH OH
>tfw your whole program is one big switch statement
How old were you guys when you stopped believing in the OOP fairytale?
oop in moderation is nice
try java :^)
Best way to learn STL?
Should I just read this book?
But that's pretty much what it is. # is four pluses in a square.
I studied software development for 2 years but fucking hated it. I dropped out and switched course to biomedical science and got a job working in a lab testing stuff. Way easier but pay is crap. Oh well. I'm too dumb for well paying jobs.
didn't do the homework but I did great in the tests
then get your shit together and do the damn homework
matlab is easy as fuck
python is easiest choice
>Anno Domini MMXVIII
>not programming in machine code
Shiggy

>Not programming directly with the processor
>learning to code for games
why. they make the least money for the worst hours.
What kind of lab is it? I work in a radiochemistry lab
Why would a trade be harder?
Indie Game developers are generally considered failures so you're on the right track actually
>virgin structured code vs chad spaghetti
chances are its not a problem with C++ itself but just you not understanding how languages work.
All you need is to understand how class/loops/variables/if statements/input and output/files work and suddenly every language becomes way easier to understand
if you can't solve the problem in your head/manually you won't be able to program it, that's the only secret.
just use rpgmaker LOOOOL
>doing homework
lmao Look at this fucking nerd.
>all you need to understand is a majority of the material they would teach in any intro to programming class and suddenly every language becomes way easier to understand
t. Brainlet. Good luck writing code that's more than a 300 line c++ file
C is easy if you already know other languages. It's basically the exact same shit with a few extra chores (allocating memory, resetting pointers etc).. Just be willing to google when you have a problem, chances are someone has had the exact same situation as you.
>all you need to understand is programming concepts that are similar in pretty much every language and suddenly every language becomes way easier to understand
your mistake was jumping straight into c++ instead of some other easier to learn language like C or Pascal
I don't have to worry about coding because despite my interest I will never be able to get into it
algorithms bruh
it's all in the algorithms
>Programming is easy and fun as shit
>Suddenly get to the other 60% of Computer Science with next to no programming involved
>Have yet to see any of it at work, at most we started using a stupidly simple version of step functions in AWS
It involves around the same amount of mathematics.
>Tfw whole program is in a catch block
What trade?
How do I make a 3D pallet stacking app? I want stack boxes in the most efficient way on pallets, my workers are black so I'd like a visual guide to show them how to stack everything.
>mfw the programming teacher has a thick Indian, Arabic, or Eastern European accent
coding is for indians
dont do that.
Just be a web dev.
yeah Im sure plumbers are learning maths as hard as Turing machines and Finite state machines
Bioengineer student here, the professor for my mandatory programming class is like this, so I gave up on class and just study at home
>2017 += 1
>not programming with scratch
test
>take programming classes
>A+ on every assignment, professor tells I have "the gift"
>fuck yes I finally found something I'm naturally good at
>dive into computer science degree
>the rest of it sucks and is mired in corporate "muh professionalism" bullshit
>finish the degree because I've gone too far to back out now
>now I have a degree for a field I'm not interested in going into
thanks college
People who obsess over code syntax are the actual worst
>>the rest of it sucks and is mired in corporate "muh professionalism" bullshit
Sounds like a shitty program.
you dont have to do anything you dont want to
look into startups. Pretty much all professionalism is dropped out the window in favour of results
web devs are code monkeys
This desu, I have to take 2 bullshit calc classes and the turing machine stuff and then the rest of it is pretty practical
Programming is not how you build a video game. Paying other people to program what you tell them to is how you build a video game.
Just take it again and don’t fuck up
exactly
This, there's this cunt in my class whose only "valuable" input during code reviews is pointing out that "user isn't using camel case correctly" "That isn't correctly indented" kind of shit, funny enough he's the WORST at coding.
>C++
>Video game development
nigga learn C# and download Unity, shit's basically Lego at this point
Not a chance my dude
Why don't you apply yourself. If you care, you'll try harder to succeed through any means necessary.
That is the joke
>tfw interested in coding so I can make shitty games
>tfw more interested in art because I've got more ideas in that field
>tfw can't do either because I'm low energy and doing bioengineering instead
Assembly is fucking garbage m8
>failing a C++ class
How? Isn't the syntax for C++ nearly identical to Java, which is the idiot-friendly language of choice?
I'll make your game for you if you bioengineer a monster girl waifu for me.
To be fair, if you can't indent or use naming conventions properly, you should just kys yourself for being a fucking brainlet.
There's more to programming than syntax.
Yeah but it's an intro course which is pretty much just syntax.
Just use Renpy to churn out crappy anime visual novels to dweebs.
I went too far with the monster part
Bioengineering is requires more energy than coding and art.
Close enough.
C++ is gay as shit but fortunately I'm a big boy and do all my work in python and matlab now
Microbiology lab in a pharma company.
I mean, I do that shit as an actual education so I don't have energy left over to study the rest. I always feel under pressure, and the few times I don't I focus too much on relaxing. I should probably stop "relaxing", nietzsche said it was a waste of time.
What should I study in college if I'm too brainlet for engineering or computers? I want to have well paid job that's a 9 to 5 type thing. No 12 hour shit.
You've never seen how much trouble most people have with just understanding if-then.
>language processing
Holy shit i feel like pic related so much
accounting
map is perfectly fine though
