Roller and Charger would have to be a special since they can be held to continue rolling and store a charge respectively. The recovery would obviously be the super jump, and a splat bomb would need to be in there somewhere. So that's up for jump, side for roller, and a toss up for the other two based on how you want to aim them.
Side smash is splatling (like Mii Gunner), up smash is blaster (smacks them up into the explosion), down smash is a slosher (only aims forward, hits things below ledges).
Most of the normals involve the normal splattershot. At least one aerial involves turning into a squid and hitting with the tentacles. Their run involves turning into a squid which only works if you've inked the ground you're trying to run on. They're pretty slow otherwise so you need to use your range to your advantage. Ink doesn't last long and enemy Inklings can ink over yours.
New weapons from Splatoon 2 like Dualies and Brellas weren't factored in when making the moveset, even though the Roller and Charger get their secondary functions from 2.
They'll make the plaza for Splatoon 1 and another for Splatoon 2, both having variation during night concerts. It would be cool to have a stage based on the underground subway shown in the new expansion, and it having a variation that has DJ Oct playing a concert.

Oh, and they'd have an ink gauge, too. You can't keep inking forever. Crouch, crawl, or dash to turn into a squid. Doing so while on an inked surface will recover the ink gauge. Final Smash is the Ink Strike.

Probably long range with roller and/or Luna blaster for short range options. Kind of hard to pin down all their moves exactly since they just have a lot of options in weapons, subs, and specials from both 1 and 2.

The idea I had for how they might play is that their regular attacks spray ink around the stage and you can use your specials to capitalize on it with improved movement through ink and higher damage to your specials.
In fact, most of them already have an amiibo. The last two can be the Splatoon 2 Inklings.
It's probably going to be split into 8 colours, both of the "Poster Child" Inklings from each game with 2 different colours each, unless they go all out and give them 4 different recolours and they join Little Mac with his 16 different alts

In team matches the ink would be your team color (with pink being the red team's ink, obviouly).

They'd be built around spreading ink on the stage which allows them to move faster and avoid enemies, jumping in and out with melee weapons and harassing at range. They could also be a hard counter to themselves and enemy squid ink only slows other squids, though everyone else can be coated in ink but it's just cosmetic.
I imagine the last two slots could be Octolings

F-Tilt will swing inkbrush in front
D-Tilt will shoot ink low & at your feet
N-air and U-air will be inkbrush swing

Gimmick revolves around being able to ink the terrain and getting all of your ammo from ink. Crouching on inked terrain refills your ammo, as well as making you invulnerable for a short period of time. Being in the ink too long will force you out and make you take damage and also slow getting out. Attacks can be enhanced while standing on ink.
