I beat Route A in like 4 play sessions

The past year's been damn great for once. Just finished Persona 5 couple weeks back, which seriously left a gaping hole in my heart and life. Something I'd not really experienced with vidya in a long while. Then I noticed -50% deal of Nier on Steam, and rest is history.

Demo on PS4 looked and played just fine for me, and it isn't a shitty port, and it doesn't have denuvo.

The port is fine, it's just the game that's poorly optimized. It runs like shit on PS4 too.

the white circle save radius around any vending machine is enormous, just save in the menu if you're worried that you haven't done it in a while

It's not just the port, it's the actual game. I bought the PS4 version instead of the PC version, and despite the PS4 version having several patches, it still crashed three times in the roughly 50 hours I've put into it so far.

You dont need to be at the machines, they have wifi range

You should get a much better performance with the PC if you install FAR and lower the lighting (no visible changes for 20FPS). Both will have stuttering sometimes.

As most JP games, there is basically no politics on it.
Game is basically a fairy tale of a few androids in a fucked up world.
Exploring said world and finding out its stories is a big part of the game, so if you dont like that or questing to get lore details, the game might not be for you.
Playing the previous games are strongly recommended but not necessary, as about 95% of the story is self contained.
Difficulty curve is fucked, but i recommend to play on Hard. There is no saves in the first 30 minutes of the game and you will likely die to the boss a few times. Git Gud or be a shitter and play on normal where dying is pretty much impossible.

fuck off, I tested it on several machines and it has multiple issues that should have been fixed with a day one patch. It hasn't received a single patch and requires fan mods to run in native resolution fullscreen. I really like the game, but it's a terrible garbage port.

No consequences at all. You can change it at any moment, and the game doesnt keep track of it, there is no difficulty related achievements or whatever.
I just say hard is better because i feel its better to play in the mode where you die in 2 hits than in the mode where you die in 8, as healing items is VERY easy to obtain and abuse in the game.

Which CPU?

Just play on normal, there's no point in playing on hard since no lock on is just an annoyance and it's not like the combat is particularly amazing or anything anyway

The audio constantly cut out when I played. Like 10-20 times an hour. It was only for a second or two usually but a couple times it never came back so I had to restart it.

No it was the game. I have speakers and this is literally the only time it's ever cut out randomly like that. Really sucked because the music was great and having it randomly cut out every few minutes was annoying as hell. It also did it during cut scenes sometimes.

I looked up trying to find people with similar problems and there were some but their suggestion was basically just update your audio/graphics drivers and see if that'll help.
