I wanted to love the Boom Hammer, but it sucks. The charged R2 is completely pathetic. The weapon doesn't flatten or blow people away the way other explosive weapons do, it's just pussy-ass knockback and it makes the weapon feel like it has no impact.

The Rakuyo is honestly TOO good. I made a character who could beat NG+X (ie any +) at level 80. There was no point adding any more levels, the character was already perfect. That seems OP to me. Sure is niggers to get the thing in the first place, though.

it's a madman gem, the main stat is a little lower than others but the secondary is doubled
open foes procs basically any time you hit an enemy while they're either attacking or just out of recovery from an action
it's perfect for boom hammer because open foes is applied as a multiplier to all damage on the weapon while most stats only apply to physical, and since boom hammer is a split damage weapon, it's just more free damage

Seriously, how can you use it? Every single charged R2 is a flaccid disappointment. It's a weapon that simulates the experience of having an impressive penis and erectile dysfunction. It's pathetic and embarrassing. Hunters laugh at you when you invade them with it and start swinging it around.

I love the Logarius Wheel, it's a cool weapon and worth using for just how great it is to smack people around with a big wheel, but I just don't get it, it just ends up as a weaker, slower, more stamina intensive Kirkhammer. I'll gladly use it for the novelty + style factor alone (along with the Executioner's garb) but there's always that "This feels weak" feeling whenever I play the game outside of PvP.
Also what's up with blunt damage? Why is it even in the game if it's closer to a detriment than useful and is completely outclassed by thrust damage?
