Just play basic mode you whiny bitch.
>hey people don't shitpost about Mario Tennis anymore, what should we do?
>I know, let's give it an interesting and dynamic game mechanics that can be turned off and let braindead shitposters have something to complain about to shill our game!
>hey people don't like Mario Tennis anymore, what should we do?
>Let's make a cute dog playable, everyone loves dogs!
why play anyone else
well unless you want to tryhard because I bet Tricky characters get the best oomph out of focus shots
can you imagine the stupid shit they can pull with that stuff
I find it funny how it managed to show off and explain it's FG inspired mechanics way better than most FGs actually bother to do. How each system works on its own and in relation to each other in a clear way.
Except the gameplay looks pretty thought out with it's power mechanic and the fact that you still need skill to block shots. AND EVEN THEN you can still turn that off and just have regular shots only. Hell, there is even motion controls for casuals.
If you can't find SOME way to play this, that's on you.
>good new features that enhance core gameplay are bad
>even when there are options to restrict the core gameplay
Are you retarded or just retarded?
You're completely wrong, OP. Nintendo already diluted the shit out of Mario Tennis. Mario Tennis Open ruined everything. Open's big gimmick was that you could play it with motion controls and the touch screen. In order to accomplish this, they neutered the gameplay and turned it into Wii Sports tennis with simon-says shot types. And then for Ultra Smash, they imported all that bullshit wholesale while including way less content.
Aces has restored everything. Every trace of Open cancer is gone, and they're ADDING mechanics now instead of taking them away. Plus it looks beautiful and seems to have a ton of content. I'm officially interested.
>story mode in mario tennis
Thanks for making this bait post, I wasn't sure about making a thread myself. Anyway I hope the game will deliver, the trailer Nintendo shown was very promising. I'm legitimately hyped for a sports game something that didn't happen in a long time. If there's at least 25+ characters I won't complain, and by the look of it there will be interesting solo /local multi-player content as well.
What we really need though is a Mario Strikers sequel
why is everyone calling chain chomp a dog, am i being memed on
They're based on dogs and they bark.
GOODEST BOY
he bark, he a dog
It's a good thing you have basic mode then, huh?
All those fancy words and you said nothing of value.
Im genuienly excited for this, i always wished Wii tennis was a fully fleshed out game
people bitched about the last mario tennis game on 3ds being to much like tennis, and now they(probably the exact same people) bitch about new gimmicks
>They made ANOTHER Mario Tennis game
>Instead of a Mario Golf or Mario Baseball game
Why do they keep making games based on the shittest types of sports games bros?
Can't you see he's baiting goddamn it grow a brain already retard
Mario tennis hasn't been good in a long ass time. The only good scores this game will receive will be from paid reviewers or people that really want the Switch to stay relevant. If it was a Wii U game, it would be different.
the aimed shot does look pretty broken
I noticed they're not using the new odyssey style renders.
Only thing I need or really care about is a new Mario Strikers with the same competitive depth as Strikers Charged.
same, I'm buying the shit out of this game
Golf already had a great ass game on 3DS, it's time for Tennis to finally redeem itself.
except people are whining about all the new shit, you stupid fucking retard

>They were inspired by an incident in Miyamoto's childhood when a neighbour's dog chased the ..., before it was yanked back by its chain.
>no strikers game since charged
>over a decade ago
this one hurts. golf and baseball werent extremely derivative, but strikers was one of a kind. maybe next level games will get on the ball and make a new one.
>last 2 games were dark moon and federation force
lmao guess not
wow that's awful
I’m fine with it for now, but if they don’t make a new Mario strikers I’m gonna be a little upset.
I already have world tour and it's fucking great, We haven't had a Mario Baseball game in literally ten fucking years though.
>internet is one individual
King K Rool was in Super Sluggers, we can't have a sequel.
Why make it a fighting game tho?
Because they can't release it in Europe or Australia since nobody gives two fucks about Baseball there. It might only be about 1/8th of Nintendo's actual market, but cutting them out completely is a dumb idea.
Mario American Football FUCKING WHEN, THOUGH????
(5)
It's not a fighting game just because there's a jauge for super moves. And a similar mechanic was already present in previous entries. Stop baiting please I know you want (you)'s and to have fun but please
>Because they can't release it in Europe or Australia since nobody gives two fucks about Baseball there.
You'd think they'd at least try it since Baseball is popular in the US and in Japan.
While not exactly a fighting game, he's not wrong. They seem to be focusing on the competitive aspect a lot.
I'm glad they've done this, it can be fun for both casuals and people who have time to lose being tryhards on a tennis game
name one spot that is more competitive then tennis.
Baseball isn't actually all that popular in the US anymore either. Moreso in Latin America (Specifically Cuba, Mexico and I guess Puerto Rico is part of the US but still) than the US at this point.
Until I see how everything actually works, I will reserve my judgement, but it does look very interesting.
safe space for donald trump voters
Shit has meter management that works for attack/defense mechanics, a parry system, the rackets have fucking HP. There's a very clear fightan influence that's undeniable.
depth for those who want it is always nice
plus they're probably trying to make it esports
i was about to say that's not a sport then i realized i typed out spot.
also >Sup Forums
I dunno about everyone else but my first experience with chain chomps as a kid was Link's Awakening and the one in there is just straight up some woman's pet dog. You even take it for a walk at one point to get to another dungeon.
but they aren't making another mario baseball game user.
mario hoops aces fucking when?
>no Mario Strikers
>no Mario Baseball
>no Mario Hoops
Fucking tennis had games on 3DS, Wii U and now Switch. Where's the love for the other sport games?
The Wii U one was a tech demo, not an actual game.
Camelot only does Tennis and Golf, Ninty has to find some other 3rd rate studio (ie. NLG) to do the other sports.
Hopefully the game has a large cast. It’s somehow something producers overlook the importance of in fanservice games like this.
Might be an unpopular opinion, but I think that for a game like this a big roster is better than a balanced one. I’d like it to have at least as many characters as Power Tennis did.
What did he mean by this?
No, they need to go back to put rpg elements in their sport games
The world may never know.
Dark Moon was good though.
DLC is basically confirmed already. Free too, but it might be for a limited time.
