Have you ever gotten stuck in a difficult part of a game for a long time?
Have you ever gotten stuck in a difficult part of a game for a long time?
Alundra all the time
Yeah
How come no other game or mobile game even has chosen to mimic the perfection that was the ancient dungeon?
There was nothing quite like discovering a blue treasure chest and shitting my pants to find providence and get the fuck out with it.
The solution to that puzzle was in the game manual.
Some of the puzzles in Lufia 2 definitely took me a while to finish, but they were fair. I think the worst was a puzzle in FF6 though, it was so bad I quit the game. Something about repeatedly collecting certain numbers of seashells in a cave? I guess I didn't understand the premise as a kid but I kept at it for hours until I finally set the whole game down for good.
is this lufia 2?
Nope, that never happens to anyone.
>You'll never be stuck in a videogame again due to internets
i got stuck there as a kid because i forgot about the r button
Yeah, along with anyone else who's played Into the Breach. Turns can take 15 minutes if you're in a position where you gotta think really hard to not fuck yourself.
Here's one that's not literally impossible.
as a kid whenever I got really stuck I'd erase the save and start over
more often than not, once I got back to that point I'd not even realize how hard it is and breeze past it with no trouble
It took me about 30 minutes to figure out the block puzzle in xenosaga 1, in the song of nephilim, I figured they were just boxes that might have items with them, went all the way up, slid back down, then I figured it out. Never really gotten "stuck" on a puzzle though, at worst, not knowing how genies contributed to psynergy in golden sun, so being fucking lost as to how to progress in certain parts of the game where you needed particular psynergy.
I was stuck on this for two days. I hope I'm not the only brainlet here who struggled to answer
My iqlet nigger
As far as I'm concerned, the game ends here. I couldn't out-mash it, the turbo button on our shitty madcatz controller doesn't help either. Apparently you're supposed to start slowly and ramp up the intensity but no normal human being would think to do that.
in illusion of gaia i was stuck at the part where you have to fight a bunch of caterpillars within a time limit, for like years i couldnt get past this one part
>he doesn't know the fingernails trick
I remember getting stuck on this level when I was a kid.
>Playing through Earthbound as a kid
>Get to Stonehenge
>Don't have the Eraser Eraser
>No idea how to get it or where it is
>Had the player's guide from the box set and still couldn't figure out how to get it
>Eventually get bored of roaming the world looking for this goddamn machine and stop playing
>Showing the game to my cousin almost a year later during a party at our house
>Showing off the combat and other stuff you can do like watching the Runaway Five/Venus and ordering pizza
>"You can also call your sister, she holds thin-"
>She had it
>I'd given the fucking Eraser Eraser to Tracy for inventory space and completely forgotten about it
>Stuck for nearly a year because I misplaced a key item
>Get super excited and tell my cousin how I'd lost it
>Finally finish playing through the game the next week
>doesn't show equipped weapons
This game is so unbelievably based. Shame it doesn't get more discussion on this site.
Lucia was such a cool game with a unique battle system. I was felt really accomplished when I finally beat that dungeon and got the dragon partner when I was a little kid.
I beat Lufia 2 when I was 8 years old.
Are you telling me you are dumber than an 8 year old?
Played it recently and had to use a guide.
I'd post a brainlet wojak but I don't save them.
Lufia 2 is literally the best game ever made. Thanks for reminded me OP.

No. Because thats when I beat it too.
But I did get stuck on that shit for quite a while.
You're not supposed to mash fast though, at least not in the beginning, otherwise the game will rubberband it so you lose in the end.

I am so glad JRPGs don't do limited inventory spaces anymore
It sucked when I was a kid, it sucks now.
>Something about repeatedly collecting certain numbers of seashells in a cave?
I think that was optional for getting Coals for a chest.
Yes
