Why do people play these games online? It's garbage. The single player game is good. The message system is good. Summoning is shit, as it regularly breaks the game. Invading is shit because you'll either have to fight three on one or you'll enjoy a roll-fest against another person where you both try to exploit huge flaws in the multiplayer.

If you think Oolacile FC was everything there was to PvP in DS1 you're deeply mistaken.
Every other forest invasion was a ganksquad. And with the red phantoms crashing the party it was a three way orgy.
The ONLY reason why ganksquads in the first game weren't as common as in the subsequent games, because how awfully bad summoning worked. While invaders just idled to get matched with a host sooner or later.

DS3 had the only good PvP in the entire souls series. The only thing that shouldn't have been in the game is unlimited instant summoning when you already wiped out the summons more than two times two reward good invaders
