Is this game any good compared to the original game?
Is this game any good compared to the original game?
I'd say it's worth trying at the very least, just keep in mind that it has a lot more bullshit than the first game.
no
it's just as bad as the original
It's definitely worth a play if you crave for more.
Just don't expect much, and maybe you'll find something to love.
If you enjoy the formula, then no souls game is really a bad game. 2 is the weakest, but it's also fine. It has its problems compared to 1, but it wont stop you from a playthrough.
Imo 1 > BB > 3 > 2
>compared to the original game
no.
it's good by itself and it brings some new things to the table but it lacks some polish and quality and saying that compared with the original makes it even worse.
Hot garbage.
Just because Dark Souls 2 is the worst Souls game doesn't mean it's a bad game. It has in my opinion the best combat system in all of the series which has been hampered by the shitty level design
asset reuse the game
DaS1 reuses a lot of models but it's the fact that DaS2 does it for bosses that makes it really really cheap and lazy.
It's the best souls game, don't let the plebs on this board tell you otherwise
DaS2 > DeS > BB > DaS > shit >>>>>> DaS3
i played 2 way more than 3 so i'd say yes. it's atmosphere is way more like 1 apposed to ds3s which is closer to bloodborne
No, it's not good compared to the original but still a fun game
Bosses reapearing as regular enemies later on is a common trope in video games, even the original did it.
Depends. Give it a try, but get SOFTS from scratch. It's my favorite souls game, but Sup Forums shits on it just because.
Has flaws, but it's an improvement from 1.
2>1>BB>3
That's a big bait.
Yes, ds2 doesn't have bed of chaos in it.
Bought it on a sale last weekend and it's kinda cool. Have played only DS3 and BB, so the overall speed it's kinda annoying, but it's a very different game.
Just killed the first boss, where should I go now? Where is the blacksmith key? How do I summon other players?
Fuck you I was hyped for remastered why did you have to remind me of this shit.
Besides enemies the obnoxious enemy tracking where they can face you 100% of the time, it's pretty good.
>even the original did it.
it's the Asylum, Taurus and Capra Demons, which is just tied to the whole unfinished and rushed nature of Lost Izalith. DaS2 reuses from DaS1 atop of its own other npcs and bosses.
Because we should all remember the sins of the past.
desu, it's not that bad, it just takes you by suprise the few first time
the FIRST SIN???
are you a SCHOLAR???
XD
All 3 are enjoyable to play through, but DS2 is the ugliest looking one.
>are you a SCHOLAR?
No, no I'm not, but thank you for asking.
Dark Souls recycled a lot of things from Demon Souls too. I wish all games ever made were a 100% original content but I think what From did is reasonable and even if some content is recycled at least the new mechanics make the encounters a little more varied.
I'm ok as long as we don't reach Bethesda levels of lazyness.
it's actually the best looking game retard
DS2 tries to do a lot of new stuff but execution is pretty meh in a lot of areas. It's still a fun ride, and worth at least a couple of playthroughs.
The overuse of ambushes and hordes can get tedious, but are easily dealt with by smart use of the level or kiting. (Even Iron Keep and its weeaboo brigade can be dealt with by taking your time and luring them out)
>best looking game
>has to do a take 2 and try again on the visuals
>still looks like a shitty DOF and bloom engine benchmark.
hmm?
BB > 2 > 3 > trash > 1
>DaS2 does it for bosses
So does the first game. Taurus Demon, Capra Demon, Asylum Demon.
