Not that long. Well for a Metroidvania it's pretty long. Castlevania Symphony was 200% by me in like 8-9 hours.
You could beat the game in 10 if you dont do that much exploring. Only the alternative bosses are extremely hard. Outside of the Beetle guards.

It took me a few tries, but I didn't find this fight super hard, just have to gear up with defense charms and bounce on their heads until they do the upward-roll attack, then you get out of the way and repeat. I also had two nail upgrades already, so they went down pretty quickly.

Theres a secret path that allows you to permanently kill one of them by dropping a chandelier on them.
Otherwise equip range and healing charms so you can keep your health up, and get as many upgrades as possible first, it's a pretty bullshit fight in general.

Get all the grubs, and use Grub elegy and kill everything from a distance. The charm is good because if you take 1 damage you'll fail the quest anyway.
Also do fool with literally EVERYTHING maxed, it makes it easier.
