PS4 controller has gone to shit. This was my second PS4 controller that has gone to shit. Are there any actual GOOD third party PS4 controllers that Sup Forums recommend's? Or am I stuck having to get yet another soon to fail official PS4 controller?

Speaking of controllers going to shit, what the fuck is up with PS3 analog sticks? I had a SIXAXIS I had sitting in my closet, unused for years, that I finally got out once and found the rubber tips really sticky and tacky; it's like the plastic was breaking down from NOT being covered in human skin oils.

I have taken great care of the controller that the system came with and now it just seems to not want to charge and when it does charge it for some reason shuts off randomly. Tried multiple different chargers.

Can anyone tell me if the psx is any better or is it essentially the same shit?

I got my PS4 maybe a year after launch, and am still on my second controller. First one still works but the right trigger is messed up, Won't register as a full press. Only noticeable in Racing games.

I got to the Drag Race in The Crew before realizing something had to be wrong since it was impossible to win. Once I got a new controller I had to readjust myself to the game cause my speed was off the walls in comparison.

As someone whos been through four, purely because of rage quitting too much, I can comfirm that these people are doing the same thing. They are fine with normal use. Everyone else I know does not go through them as often as this

I really think it depends on who uses it. I have gone through every color for the Game Cube controller, 4, because my brother abused the analog stick. I still have my last two controllers which are fine.

I had to replace mine once because the touchpad stopped resonding to certain directional inputs. Apparently a lot of the original ds4's had that problem.

DS4 is a shit, cheaply built controller. They have a worse survival rate than even the DS2.

Mine stops taking a charge and just gets really hot. I have to keep resoldering some shit.

Why else do you think we have companies releasing cars every year with a "slightly" better enhancement than the year prior? certain types of games will ruin them.
specifically first person shooters. I also found competitive NHL online ruined a couple.
it's constant repetitive movements that do it.
i've opened up a bunch of them. mixed and matched parts when need be. It's easy to see why they are fragile. pretty simple, cheap parts.
love the design of it though. best sony controller by a mile.
wish they had their own ELITE though

I considered the Hori. But the build quality looks cheaply made just by the looks of the plastic according to videos I watched on it. I hunkered down and placed an order for the Nacon Revolution Pro after making this thread. It's not a wireless controller. But it looks solid as fuck and the layout captured my interest.

interesting. i skipped xbox this generation so i wouldn't know but i really liked the 360 controller in the good old days.

Getting new controllers these days is expensive, first party ones cost as much or even more than the games themselves.

People were shilling hard for some Hori ps4 controller but I haven't seen them for a while.
