There's not really a plot in any of the games individually, nor is there a plot that spans games either. They're all self-contained. If you're already into JRPGs and like less forgiving games then any game will work, games that are a bit of a gentler introduction to series are 3 and 4 in my opinion. I love them all though.

Maybe 10 years ago when I was playing Guild Wars and Day of Defeat:Source. I don't feel anything when I play video games now. There is no fun anymore. Everyday I look at my steam library and while I scroll through it the only thing I think is "I don't want to play these games". But on the other hand I am a NEET so I don't know what to do. Sometimes I install a game just to deinstall it after 1 hour of playing.

Today i played Heroes III with a friend against bots. Pretty fun until the late game = just chasing computer around to finish. Also starcraft 2v2 or 3v3 and even 4v4 with friends .
