There's not really a lot you can do with the gameplay beyond incrementally adding more stats and shit, so it's become stale. It should die while it can, but it won't. So we'll have a full 3D Pokemon game with the same turn-based brain-dead easy content as we've always had with even more cinematic shit to "show off" the first full true 3D mainline Pokemon.
