Not like the characters themselves have any real presence outside of their very rare quips, they don't talk in any scenes, they don't have any real input beyond the player's agency they're just those blank slates with quips. I'm not even looking to self insert, I want to try say that gunzerker but I don't like Salvador's fucking stupid lines, or being a manlet.

not sure if youve played the pre sequel, but even with how shit tier the game is, character interaction and dialogue really improves. if you play multiplayer, characters throw unique one liners and banter at eachother and depending on who you play, story dialogue changes too. you character talks in cutscenes too.
