Did anyone else remember doing this area in Dark Souls II and it was so extremely dark you needed a torch?

No
no you retard
>implying shit souls 2 is real
kek, nice bait. Subtle.
Mmmm, I kinda remember that the mirror room was dark. You know the one where black phantoms come out the mirrors. Is it the same area?
>BerenstAin Bears
What the... what the fuck!?!?
I like you.
I don't remember any black phantoms. You don't get invaded you just get attacked by blue guys that come out of the mirror.
Why was the lighting in DSII so different from the trailer anyway?
Everything you posted is fucking retarded.
Shut the fuck up.
Because they seriously fucked it up and couldn't pull it off. Just like everything else about that game.
DS2 has a lot of issues but I have a feeling that if they didn’t botch the lightning so bad it would have faired a lot better in the eyes of fans.
I was anxious about that skeleton suddenly coming to life and becoming a boss fight, but it never happened. Bummer
You mean the videos from before the downgrade?
Because the development cycle got fucked twice over, once by scrapping the scope of the game and downsizing it, and secondly by having to rework the game so it would run on the PS3/360 when it should have been closer to a launch title for the PS4/One.
Anyone else remember that DS2 boss that wasn't challenging or original at all so the devs just made it spawn additional enemies so you don't just kill it on the first try?
That's not the Mandela Effect, that actually happened.
Which boss? The spider or the boss before it in that area?
kek how will DS2 fags ever recover?
>That WASTED POTENTIAL
STILL
FUCKING
MAAAAAAAD!
They never did
How is this possible? Didn't the previous game actually have dark areas?
>uninformed shitposter blames the devs for bamco fucking them over in their development cycle
Soynds about right.
If you light the braziers you get invaded by forlorn
>Soynds about right.
That was a legitimate mistake and it worked out perfectly.
It comes to life if you light all the sconces, then lunges forward. It's not a boss, but I've seen it kill people that summoned me for the area
I never noticed it before, but they also removed the specularity on the walls in the final game. What a shit game.
What, you didn't need to light shit just walk toward it.
Though it never respawned so it was a once per playthrough thing.
Mirror knight
Ng+ sinner

Anyone remember when ds3 was first announced, they showed gameplay on how you can create your own bonfires and sacrifice enemies to create them.
>Dark Souls 2
>dark at all
Except we never actually got to go inside that part of the game you retard? The only thing we were able to play was that spooky forest in the ps3 beta, which had different gameplay and you absolutely needed a torch to progress.
Maybe in vanilla, but you absolutely had to light shit to get it to move and give you the key in sotfs
Wasn't this one supposed to have time travel shenanigans? I remember getting hyped about something like that.
the other details look obviously better on the left, but the torch seems unrealistically ineffective at lighting that corridor for the sake of going for a "dark" aesthetic
Why would you want to bring back these tears, sir?
there is no single mandela effect game theory, its not effecting games or its not real.
Torches actually provide fuck-all light, and if you want to talk realism holding a torch out in front of you while in pitch-black darkness is practically blinding. You want to hold the light source out behind you so that it isn't directly in your field of vision.
What?
Oh I'm playing through sotfs right now and haven't come up to that part yet.
No, you're thinking of the "time is convoluted" theory as for why your character walks 10 seconds through a tunnel and emerges 10 miles away, which is just a defense for "the devs couldn't into proper area transitions"
>Did anyone else remember doing this area in Dark Souls II and it was so extremely dark you needed a torch?
No because I always had a Pharros Lockstone to unlock the light in the long corridor with the hippos.
You time travel back to the battle between the giants and drangleic. I think the whole world of DaS2 is supposed to sort of be beyond space and time, the game does start with you jumping into a portal and coming out in an area called "things betwixt", but none of it really matters.
Oh man, this thread is destroying my sides.
I swear this nigger used be blue who wit me?
they still would have complained bitterly about muh interconnected world
>when the game's fan "lore" is just excuses to justify B-Team's hackery
I've noticed this too, he definitely used to be blue. Here is screenshot of from one of my old hard drives as a kid.
I just murdered the mirror knight with the great club before he started spawning guys. What does sinner do on new game plus?
>What does sinner do on new game plus?
A couple of phantoms come in during the fight.
