No 3rd party characters with no relevance to Nintendo that people think are a shoe-in because they got ports on every console and PC but somehow the Switch port is special (Dark Souls, Crash, Doomguy) or characters that have literally no shot (Banjo, Snake, Goku)

Better post game support. You can lie and say they supported a full year after release, but that's being dishonest. Spreading out characters you had 100% finished (Roy, Mewtwo, Lucas and Ryu files were last edited the month the base game release, Bayo, Cloud and Corrin all last edited same period too) over 6 month gaps with no meaningful updates to the game is not support.
No more stage builder unless they overhaul it. Nobody wants to play on ugly looking lumps of clay or prefab boxes. Let us use backgrounds and assets from other stages or even trophies. Let us edit the foreground and background. Give us more than 8 textures to draw with.

I want Dante in Smash. I don't even think it's THAT unrealistic, honestly. Otherwise, in terms of characters that are more unrealistic, I think Master Chief and Travis Touchdown would be cool. Also Dark Samus. I wouldn't mind a second Street Fighter rep either.
I also want gameplay that is less defensive and more combo-oriented, but I also want combos that aren't just 'd-throw into some sort of aerial, usually fair'.
I want an option to turn stage hazards off.
I want them to overhaul Samus.
If there's a story mode, I want it to not be boring and tedious like SSE in Brawl, I want it to actually take advantage of a huge Nintendo crossover, and I want it to be voiced or at least have dialogue.
