Was the haunted mansion level hard as fuck for anyone else? I don't know why I remember it being hard as fuck, like around the time you've been going through the level and you get to the extradimensional area with the crazy lightshow background I remember feeling exhausted and unsure.

Dumb child, but it's not the worst Sonic game ever. It's very unpolished and its design is super linear and simplistic to a fault, but it's playable enough. Definitely not what I would call "good" though. Heroes is a hard "mediocre". With more polish and less linear level layouts it might have been pretty good. The concept of switching between characters on the fly is neat. That's about all it has to offer though. People claiming that it's some misunderstood classic just because there are glimmers of a good game buried beneath all the mediocrity are absolutely nuts.
