W7 just werks
i dont want it there is no other choice then i will go to linux
you can turn this shit off so who cares
I don’t. Wine is good enough as I only play old games.
The day I am forced to use Windows 10 is the day I switch over to Linux and buy a console. Until that day, I'll stick with 7.
More like Kikeosoft
>he thinks it actually turns off
user, I...
I have no choice, I play video games.
Just because Microshaft thinks most people will use S Mode like a bunch of braindead Chromebook dullards doesn’t mean I will.
>ITT: Freetard astroturfing
>windows 10
>turning anything off
oh user....
Because S mode is optional.
I'm too retarded for Linux and lol MAC.
But holy shit, I just got Win10 with my new machine, went to put a harddrive in, and now win10 wont activate because I added hardware? What kind of bullshit is that? Now I gotta call the manufacturer just to get my product key so I can give that to Pajeet and get it sorted out. What a fucking mess.
>I'm too retarded for Linux
You're not, modern distros just work and out of the box they're usually set up better than Windows. The one and only barrier is whether you play a lot of new high profile video games on PC, because those usually aren't on Linux. It's a legit barrier for many though.
>PC "master race"
>has to wait for ports, many times years
>many times is excluded from getting games altogether
>only games it has are shitty western multiplats and Japanese games that have been dumbed down for the PC shitter audience
>have to pay the cost of a 'pro' console for a gpu that matches base consoles
>have to use a windows operating system to play games
Unironically, why do people fall for this meme? Is csgo that good?
Not that guy, but what are some good Linux distros? The games that matter are on Linux anyways, at least the ones I play, some Kickstarter RPGs and so on. Is Wine good? How good? The same performance as Windows, etc?
>le ebin Sup Forums maymays
I’ll stick with 7 as long as possible then switch.
start with a basic bitch distro like ubuntu which tries to mirror windows. get used to how linux works then customize from there and try out new distros
Aight, I'll try that.
what the fuck is 10 S
>Windows 10 S is streamlined for security and performance, and works exclusively with apps from the Microsoft Store.
does ms really think people are that stupid?
i mean, anyone who willingly got 10 might be, i suppose
From the top on distrowatch
>Mint
The choice of most beginners and a good one, but they had a major security scandal at one point where their site was hacked and isos replaced with malware. So just read the news before you get anything from them.
>Manjaro
Some people swear by it, but it's still Arch and probably shouldn't be your first adventure with linux
>Debian
Shines as server distro, but can be used as an all-purpose system. Heavily favors stability and reliability at the cost of not having the newest software
>Ubuntu
One of the most popular distros overall, comes with everything you may ever need, but that also makes it bloated. And its interface is... unorthodox.
>Solus
New kid on the block. It's software is limited, but what's there is incredibly solid.
>Antergos, Arch
Mom, cancel my meetings, xorg.conf is fucked again
>Elementary
Aimed at macOS crowd. Beautiful and consistent desktop, but software is old-ish and devs are dickwads.
>Fedora
Leader of a big linux family, much like debian/ubuntu. But this one has a more frequent release cycle and newer software. Their philosophy makes proprietary drivers a bit of a pain though.
>TrueOS
This is BSD, probably not for you.
>OpenSUSE, CentOS
Enterprise distributions, there are better choices than this for a casual desktop.
>MX, Antix
If you don't know what systemd is, you probably won't care for those.
>Zorin
Aesthetics designed to mimic windows and they do so well. OS as a whole is buggier than most though.
>Kali
Forensics n shit, probably not your best pick.
>ReactOS
An attempt at recreating older windows and all the compatibilities that come with it. It's in shambles now so don't use it, but worth keeping an eye on.
>PCLinuxOS
Never used it personally, but some people swear by it.
>Lite
A great distro for toasters. But I do mean toasters, we're talking Pentium III.
>Deepin
Chinese software, be wary.
For DirectX obviously, otherwise I can't play games.
>Why are you still using Windows?
Because Windows XP is the best OS ever made.
Because it does the job very well?
Tastes, colors...
The real question is why aren't you using Windows 10?
I have her better sister
Why do you keep making this thread? You get BTFO every time.
What fuck, why did my pic turn into a weeb pic? I don't even have that picture on my PC... I posted this one... MOOOOOOOT!!!!
I'm already used to windows 7. Maybe I'll switch to linux down the line but not right now.
>I'll just call it a meme!
Why do you think it was free for so long? They have thwir ways lf earning revenue
I assume they mean the majority wont know how to turn it on once they force it upon everyone
Look at this weeb. Look at him and laugh.
i've been trying to stop update on my htpc, w10 just doesnt fucking give a shit and keeps updating and the update software takes up 80+% of the cpu
Time to BTFO OP yet again
>The S mode change does not affect existing Windows 10 installs that aren't already running Windows 10 S. This means if you're running Windows 10 Home or Pro today, you will not have S mode forced upon you in an update.
windowscentral.com
>not using TempleOS
I seriously doubt they're right about it.
Thank you for that information. Well needed.
I’ll stick to my superior mac
I learned about Ubuntu stuff using a virtual machine in college but all we learned is how to setup file permission and do some VEM coding. I never got a chance to explore the OS but I saw a lot of stuff on that app store thing...is there somewhere I can look at stuff to see if everything I already do can be done with stuff from there?
Because competition is either too bloody expensive for its own good or too focused on "freedom" and own ego-stroking to make something anyone would want to switch to.
Fuck off, OP. Stop making these threads over and over again.
>he actually thinks they can just go and lock paying customers out of a major part of the thing they paid for
Well, they're free to try if they want to kill their OS off for good.
