Snake head poisons

>snake head poisons
>goat head casts magic
>lion's head and body use physical strength
>it's entire fight behaviour changes depending on what head you kill first

it's funny that bosses from recent titles are not as complex as a boss from a 6 years old game

I know, don’t get me wrong, fighting a humanoid enemy that’s vastly more powerful then you and surviving is satisfying, but fighting so,etching totally alien that adapts to you and attempts to out play you will always be more satisfying.

>just shoehorn locational damage into every boss fight for some reason

>goat is about to nut
>lion just wants it to be over
>snek feels kinda awkward about the whole situation

>>just shoehorn locational damage into every boss fight for some reason
In this case it is actually one of the times, where locational damage makes sense.

>Drake, Wyvern, Wyrm
>Most of the model and animations are shared, look very similar

>Drake usually stays on the ground, is aggressive and uses its large body to fight. Has a weakpoint right on its chest, forcing you to get right in front of it to deal good damage. Breathes fire.
>Wyvern constantly flies, will only land if shot down. Has a weakpoint on its back, a difficult place to hit while it's airborne. Breathes wind/lightning.
>Wyrm casts high-level spells very quickly, has a somewhat accessible weakpoint on its belly. Breathes ice.

I wish BotW was smarter with it's asset reuse. We see different color variations on enemies, and very mild changes like Frost Talus or Stalnox, but they really don't impact the fight at all. Then DD takes most of the same assets and makes 3 very different enemies reusing them.

It just goes to show that even after all this time, nobody makes boss fights like capcom

You forgot to mention that the lion will charge anyone using magic, as it's scared of it, the goat will heal itself and counterparts and has magic resistance, and that you can cut off the snake

>casts high gicel
Heh.. nuthin persnel

I remember the first time won this fight, it was so fucking good, I randomly jumped from the body and did a downward slash, cutting the snake head. My dick was hard as steel

i never even noticed any of this desu
i just kept whacking at it until it died

Shame that's in a shit game that will never get a sequel.

What's the differences between the cockatrice and the griffon besides the petrification

They also speak their lines in all different languages to indicate the arisen they came from come from different universes.

>actual fight is just a slogfest anyway

One had it's dad fuck a snake, the other had it's dad fuck a lion.

One isn't a bitch ass nigga that flies away immediately

Petrification, poison, weak to thunder not fire, doesn’t bitch away

You're a shit game you worthless cocksucker.

Good, its better this way.Don't want to end it like MHW

Objectively better and more successful? Thank god they got over the stigma of X and XX. The main MH team works some miracles.

>ad populum
Way to prove why it's shit.

not him, but I mostly agree
capcom only makes decent games on accident, and every single game they make has autistic dialogue

so while yes, the various body parts and weak points and climbing on enemies and shit is really cool, the execution is garbage

>Set it on fire
>It goes on a frenzy and mauls my face in

Attached: 1452045926384.jpg (342x298, 40K)

It looks prettier. That's about it as far as "objectively better".

>fighting two Wyrms
>all your pawns are dead
>you start frantically sprinting around the arena, jumping in the air and cutting them up with your greatsword
>you actually win
Warrior builds get too much flak. Heavy weapons feel great in that game.

>Wyrms
meant cockatrice. I need to play this game again, damn

They should have had a crossbow subweapon. Sucks that they were so gimped, the skills are really fun to use.

I just wish you got to use more than three skills with the greatsword. The closest you can get is hacking in an invisible shield on your offhand.

SOAKED TO THE BONE

Warriors should've had a total of 6 skills, 3 being restricted to attacks and the other 3 being restricted to supports skills like war cry/ladder blade etc. Just create some more support skills that are defense/attack buffs via blowing a horn or sumshit and you're good as gold.

Dragon's Dogma is so fucking good. Why isn't there DD2 in my life yet?

Attached: 1521133136988.gif (500x375, 756K)

Honestly thought about how gimped the warrior was a lot, but this is a way better idea than I ever had on how to fix them without making them too OP

No gaming memory for me beats bringing a cyclops to its knees with lightning whips and treating it like the little bitch it is

>grab onto monster
>it just flails around trying to get me off
>stab with dagger until it's dead
>don't even realise this behaviour stuff is a thing
Good design

The fight is always the same since you just ignore everything it's doing, b-line for the snake, kill it, then the goat, and then it's free. It's too goddamn easy. The game would have benefitted from a NG+2 where everything is like level 250.

Except when it rolls onto you to crush you, or the snake attacks you to get you off

Didnt think much of the ending until fighting my old character in ng+

I think the guy is a trap chaser.

I didn't like the ending desu, kinda sad you could never truly save the world. Also if the world is false then what's the point? I'm a brainlet pls help

Realization that real girls arent worth the trouble?

What's funny is how hard this board jerks off to this tech demo.

In the true ending, you end the cycle by becoming the next Seneschal and killing yourself.

>getting shit on as a mystic knight
>EVER
How can you fuck up playing a mystic knight, one of the most OP vocations in the game? Are you on Festival Pies 24/7 or something?

>Could have gotten Strider or Mage Grigory in the sequel
>There is no sequel, only a Online MMO RPG that would be worth playing if they just released a client

>Pawn wont fucking shoot the floating thing

I really need to play this game again
Seeing my loli caster pawn managing to finally cast a full gicel makes my cock hard every single time.
This game would've been garbage if it weren't for all the little things that happens during combat.
BBI was such a treat too where everything was just cranked up to 10.
Also
>infinitely stunlocking and knocking enemies into the air with Ricochet Hunter in small interior rooms.

We will never get a proper sequel because of those damn japs!

>dragons dogma
>tech demo
Where's your brain at?

Honestly, for these guys alone, they needed to let you be able to aim stones and throwing knives. I'm all for resistances and weaknesses, but having weakpoints that are 100% projectile-only, that your pawns often ignore, really ruins what would have been a fun twist on the regular Golem fight.

I wish you could kill the goat head in DDON

Where it belongs and not up Capcom's ass. There's nothing interesting about this game until you get to the next boss. They completely forgot to differentiate this title from every other generic fantasy setting out there.

Ah, come on, even without the xxxM4G1C_CaNNoNxxx MK is p.much the most versatile char there is. Even the magic archer can't compete. Throw on a couple of elemental enchants, a perfect block buff and 3 of the attacking skills and you're good. Hell, lose the melee and use the staff with spells amidst the battle. Best battlemage i've played ever.

>all 3 pawns don't know to close the hydra's head wounds with fire

Yeah, fighting them as a fighter is fucking nightmare.

Ng+ assumes you never actually used the godsblade. Using the godsblade and killing yourseld breaks the cycle, and frees the world from eternity. Whether thats good or bad is never seen though

Are rangers or magick archers better for archery?

Magick archers.

Do you prefer machine guns or laser guns?

Am I retarded for not being able to enjoy this game? Am I doing something wrong? Picked the strider class or w/e its called (Daggers with a bow) and it feels like all I do is fire volley shots at large slow enemies for ten minutes or get instagibbed by a group of bandits whose archer takes out half my health with a single shot.

I just got to Gran Soren and got the quest to retrieve some magic book from a bandit hideout, but said bandits are obviously way above my level, and there aren't any other quests in town besides that one quest where you follow some shady guard or something.

Magick archers are OP rangers

>Play Warrior
>Have to climb on his head, jump, slash and pray

>Sup Forums casts *True Sight*
>The SJW's form changes!

The thing about this game is that you'll either love it or hate it and does never live up to your expectations since what it offers is really strange.
If you don't like it yet, just stop playing.

>tfw playing as assassin

Attached: 1492559345599.jpg (1024x799, 157K)

Pick up as much of the Kill X number of Y enemies. You don't have to go out of your way to do any of them (except for the rabbits), you eventually complete them just by playing and they give decent rewards.

Machine guns. Lasers never have the oomph I'm looking for.

You are (obviously) not alone.
Not long ago I gave a 3rd chance for this game, played it a bit more this time 12-13 hours, but I just can't stick with it.
It's boring and bland.

Too bad the 99% of the game leading to big enemies is shit

Ok guys I started going through BBI content but suddenly I hit a wall where I barely to damage to anything, it would take a literal hour to kill a boss at this point, and even small monsters take longer to kill than I'd like.
I'm lv52, should I just stop my BBI progression? Am I missing some gear? Should I just farm the original's post-game content to level up? What the fuck do I do?

Its sorta a mess because at some point it scales of the idea that Pawns would give some sort of party wide buff, all 3, and you would do one yourself.
Instead the difficulty is based on 4x Magic Rebalancer vs 4x Staredown vs 4x Periphats

>Arisen feed me! nyaah!~

Attached: chimera.jpg (500x421, 38K)

There is a level wall at the beginning where some bandits are just stronk as fuck for no reason, just get stronger and try out more skills as you get them.

you're not very far into the game but is very correct.
Stick with it for a bit more and see what happens, the city quests are boring as fuck.

>he sold the gold weapons

Attached: WikiUndulantGold.jpg (280x380, 56K)

I thought they just came from different regions/time periods.

Last dude did the same thing you did. This is why he pulls the blade from his chest.
And we'll never have a concrete answer on how this fucking works because they rushed the game and we'll never get a sequel.

Does assassin do anything different than just strider + fighter?

>he's not a rustfag
faggot

Attached: Dragon's_Dogma_-_Rusted_Daggers.jpg (117x198, 12K)

Or they could've just not placed the damn things in the air.

>Not just knocking it over with fire wall

You play both, aka double fun

so, a couple of things

the early game is a little shit but anyone who knows anything about the game can b-line it to gran soren and thats when the game really opens up

most ranged classes tend to be kinda bland until you get some super powerful abilities or you play magick archer. try using your daggers etc for a strider, imo thats more fun.

once you start getting to a higher level the bandits are less of an issue and you have a bit more fun, they are normally the first issue many new players have. Grab as many kill X quests as you can and go exploring, the game has some alright areas around you. Also make sure your pawns you hire are around your level too, rehire ones or find new ones regularly.

The game opens up and becomes better as time goes on and it deffo has a weak start and that start can last a while if you dont know what youre doing.

when you start heading into deep forests, windy cliffs, catacombs, mines, thats when the game gets really good.

as someone else said, you either love it or you hate it, and not many people enjoy the beginnings regardless but end up loving the game.
