Top of the line R3, got it for a crazy low price that I couldn't pass up. It used to have alot of sleep mode issues and waking at the blue reboot screen, but a few driver updates have since lowered such occurrences. Other than that, it tops every desktop I've owned so far. Only wanted a laptop because I travel alot. For the convenience. I never quite understood why people shit on Alienware other than its infamously horrendous customer service, but I've had the luxury of not needing to deal with any of that bullshit.

I'm pretty tech savvy, you can update components of an alienware if you know how to dissect the thing. Besides, the way graphics cards are skyrocketing in price, would be awhile until future gaming demands anything even remotely close to my 1070. I think you could push 5-6 years out of an R3 before even needing to upgrading anything. And alot of times, at that point, most gamers have already bought a whole new PC. I've never been one for buying individual components and replacing things as time goes by. I wait and then just start fresh. Usually about as long as a console generation lasts.
