I'm not here to discuss whether or not this will be a good game or not. What I want to know is... WHY THE FUCK did they call this "God of War" and not "God of War 4" or "God of War *Insert title here*" This is so aggravating to me, i'm pretty sure this isn't a reboot.

Its called a name-make its a common practice to ride off the name of the original while simultaneously replacing it in the public eye usually to give a perception that the original is old and dusty and the new thing is the proper version you should be playing.
Of course this fails since 90% of the time the new game is fucking trash.

It's to mean a renewal of the franchise. Like yes this is the same kratos from Greek mythos but GoW 4 makes it sounds like you have to play the original games prior to this, with this game it's starts a new mythos of Nordic.
