They were childhood friends and kept in contact through a notebook despite living in a world where cellphones exist. They were supposed to get married for a political alliance but they never actually meet again as adults because Luna gets killed. Pretty anticlimactic, to be honest.

I did not like anything about Final Fantasy 15 other than the big environments.

She instantly became my favorite video game female, it's criminal that they gave her so much story importance and so little screentime. They cut most of it for whatever reason.

It's tragic really, she accepted the role as his Oracle (speaks to the gods for him and supports his kingly journey) before meeting him. When by luck or destiny she ends up meeting him as a child she instantly falls in love with him as a person, which is where things get sad. They show you later in the game some cutscenes that have Luna putting all her feelings forward for the world to see, she loved him more than anything and her greatest wish was to get married and grow old together. The sad part? Her job as his oracle means she is going to die for him.

They wrote out a great love story but then left out/cut most of Luna's content in the game so it's easy for people to not get swept up by it. They did however put a few great cutscenes in the later stages of the game that really break your heart and show you a glimpse of the love story that existed.

I was very saddened by Luna's story when I recently finished the Windows version. There were quite a few additions that I haven't seen yet (played PS4 on release and never played since then). Overall I feel Luna was robbed, because she didn't get the time in the game she deserved for an important character as hers. I really wish there's gonna be an Episode Luna DLC down the line that rights this wrong

Well they have confirmed that she is getting a DLC Episode but I'm not sure when, possibly next year, and yeah there is nothing else to it she was robbed.

They did an amazing job at designing her personality and traits, gave her one of the most important roles in the story, signed her up for one hell of a love story, and then gave her 5 minutes of screentime. I doubt we will ever get them to explain how much content of hers they removed and why they did it but it's incredibly frustrating to see the final product and what they did to her.
