The original base game is a lot of fun with friends, I haven't touched it in almost 6 months and I doubt that part of the game even has a playerbase anymore. I'm glad I quit before this battle royale shit started.

Not that user but can you elaborate on what I can earn in PvE and how quickly I can earn it? I’m on the fence about spending 40 bucks for a game mode I don’t really want to play. Spending all my time in a different game mode farming for funny money so I can spend it on cosmetics in the mode I actually want to play seems autistic, but I didn’t know you can also unlock skins.

pve is there everytime you want, is no LVL bounded, you do dayli quests and get arroung 50 vbucks per quest plus the rewards in missions

It's massive casualfaggotry with tons of shooting RNG at anything beyond arms length distance, so meta is pretty much build a huge tower then jump down on the enemy and try to shotgun him in the head for instakill.
For what it's worth though it's still pretty fun, as long as you accept that it's casualfaggotry and not some deep high quality gaming experience.

It's PUBG with a shitty building mechanic slapped on.

Building forts and defending them is fun especially with squads. Using walls as snap cover or quickbuilding into the sky is fucking retarded and only serves to slow down TTK. Building should have a short internal cooldown that resets at every instance of damage. Problem solved.

A good battle royale but depending on when you find armor or not will be the difference of you being completly naked or being a full on tank. Since in other games even if you find a lvl 1 helmet "you still have an helmet"

Played the Battle Royale mode like 3 times because a friend wanted to try it out.

It feels fucking stupid that the walls you build instantly block bullets, making the absolute best strategy to win any fight. There's basically no room to actually just shoot someone and win.

Is the pve portion still gacha shit?

If you make damage disbale builing or any fucking aisine suggestions like that coming from people with 3 hours max played then pushing is completely fucked and the game will be all around finding a nice little hill to build a tower on and camp your soul away

being better at spinning in circles and building towers? I don't know, as I mentioned I've only played it three times, so my experience comes down to killing like 2-4 other people who were clearly as new as I was, and watching whoever killed me and seeing what they did. And that's what they did, they'd sense danger by being shot, or being shot at, and just start building wildly. Sometimes the person that killed me won the retard build-off, sometimes the other guy did. I assume it comes down to no small amount of luck, but also an acquired skill at keeping track of the other guy through his and your retarded build-off.

Also those shield drink things seem to help getting one-shot by snipers/shotguns, though I imagine the build shit would start immediately if an enemy was near you enough with a shotgun to oneshot you anyways.

If the uphill guy doesn't have a rpg there are many things you can do and if he does there are still multiple things you can do with the right toolkit IE pulse grenades or jump pads.

It's worse conceptually and design-wise than PUBG but it's technically more profecient and has no chinks.

Then build into being able to one shot the guy, or just go play fucking Call of Duty and fuck off.

if builing is disabled on damage like you see so many shitters with zero foresight suggest, then the éffect of zones and defensive positions is amplified immensely and you created pubg 2.0

these things literally don't happen unless you're bad enough at the game to be within chode's distance of your enemy near the end of the game, and even then the autistic building is hilariously ineffectual. all you have to do is not build, while the other guy wastes everything he painstakingly collected for 15 minutes.
i don't know why you guys think this is anything even close to a big deal, especially because gathering resources so that you have enough to build like a sperg continuously for anything longer than 5 seconds is just a surefire way for you to lose even faster.

The people I saw doing this weren't necessarily in an open field, they'd usually at least hug some form of terrain to keep from being fully exposed. And to be clear, I'm not saying these people aren't good, or that the game has no skill to learn - I'm saying the actions the skilled players seem to take look and are stupid.

The people who build seemed to win, they'd just build a height advantage and peek shots. I call it a retard build-off because it looks stupid, I do recognize it has a point though.
