Spore was the first game i was hyped for and also the first game to show me that you should not believe pre release Marketing and Videogame magazines. Despite the slight disappointment i love the game. The creature editor was amazing. Two of my creatures had a shit ton of downloads from other users. I wish i still had pictures. I think i played the game for over 300 hours. The Artbook is pretty good by the way.

I liked it for what it is when it was first released (I didn't follow the early development), but then I tried to create an account and found out that Spore restricted online access based on how many times you re-installed it.

Spore was so hyped and anticipated that I fucking build my first PC specifically for that game over 10 years in 2005 when I saw the google video trailer.
I'm still a PC only gamer ever since then and I actually enjoyed and played spore for 100s of hours but it's not what was promised.
