Soulsfags are cancerous, I swear
If your first console was a fucking 360/PS3 then yes. If if was anything prior to that then no. You most likely played your share of difficult games in earlier gens
>1
Only a little, at the beginning
>2
No
>3
Kinda, but not too much
1 is pretty hard, 3 is easy if you use the continue system
On harder difficulties you can die in a couple hits but the game is not really that hard.
Yes
I played the 3 games on an emulator and couldn't beat Mundus and Agni &Rudra without save states. I also couldn't beat Vergil in the end of DMC3 so I gave up at the end.
DMC3 is way above the average game in terms of difficulty. Ninja Gaiden Black level of difficulty. Cerberus is going to fuck you up and it's the first proper boss.
There is a reason for such difficulty. The european vanilla version of dmc3 is harder than the US and JP version. Capcom scaled the difficulty for the europe.
Normal mode in europe is the hard mode in both US and JP.
With the subsequent re-releases (SE and HD) the european difficulty became the standard, so, the US and JP are now playing with the same level of challenge in normal mode as europeans were back when DMC3 was first released.
I said fuck it and used the yellow orb I found to beat Arkham and his shitty adds, did I miss out on anything
Once you learn how to use the lock on system properly in 3, it’s not too hard. Everything before then will kick your ass though, Cerberus is what made me learn how to properly use it.
yeah, no.
American difficulty was inflated originally, not European.
No, it was the other way around yanky
Delete this and protect my illusion of reality.
>European players were struggling with America’s difficulty with full health, access to Devil Trigger and maxed out Styles
Why isn't 4 in the HD collection?
in my years of experience of playing DMC3, Vergil is laughably easier with Royal Guard. His attacks, though quick, are easily telegraphed, and the time window for Just Guarding his attacks is huge if you jump before guarding.
Still a fan-fucking-tastic boss fight, though.
Because DMC4SE already got released in 2015. If that really bothers you that much, there's a DMC:HD + DMC4SE combo on PS Store.
They are more about creativity than difficulty
It's really not. Unless you find the base difficulty balls hard, beating Normal through Very Hard is not challenging, and for beating Very Hard you get the win mode costume that gives you unlimited devil trigger that you can use to beat Dante Must Die. Even without that Dante Must Die is more grindy than difficult.
All you have to do is sit in the corner and spam E&I into Spiral, it even gives you style too. If you wanna use items you can just spam Holy Waters on top of that.
>being this casual
Yeah DMC3 is pretty casual when you factor in how hard you can cheese it
>buying non physical
What are the section ''Damage'' at the end of the missions about.Whatever i do in a mission it always give me D and fucks up the score when combined with others. The fuck does that ''Damage'' mean anyway ?
it's how much damage you took
The amount of damage YOU take. You should invest into Trickster or Royal Guard.
ETA for style switcher for the HD version?
Yes it's difficult. Sup Forums will say it's not, but the people saying that beat it on normal and called it a day or invested hundreds of hours getting good then retroactively decided the game was easy.
Style Switcher's fun to mess around with but horrendously fucks the already fucked balance of DMC3
Alright i guess i'll try to not get hit then,im now on dmc2 with Lucia,so there's isn't trickster, royalgard and such yet.Yesterday one mission it was just a single boss , i hit him only from a distance with the pistols, didn't take a single hit and it gave me B on ''damage'' lol
This, just play 4 if that's what you want
DMC isn't hard at all. The series simply exists so you can ""style""(mash launchers then standard aircombo) on a bunch of non-attacking sandbags. It's so shallow and easy that it doesn't even have a dodge button. Even an action game like KIRBY has a dodge button.
Here OP. Here's the best action game of all time. Difficult enemies, tons of depth, and 10/10 amazing boss fights.
I've beaten kh2 fm on the highest difficulty but I bet you haven't beaten dmc3 on dmd.
It's a stylish game, the point is that you have to win by taking fewer hits.
If you think DMC3 is hard, then play God Hand. It have the most glass jawed MC I ever saw.
every game is casual if we go by that retarded logic
This post would have made me mad if you hadn't exposed it as bait with 2 lies.
>doesn't even have a dodge button
>KH2=good
Nice fucking try homo
Kingdom Heartsfags are hilarious if they think they actually have played a hard game in that series
Can't do that on your first playthrough anyhow.
I'm not good enough to see anything wrong with the balance yet
the only hard part of dmc is platforming, thanks to the atrocious camera, the last two bossfights are somewhat annoying but hey, they're supposed to be more challenging
dmc3 is a bit harder
Both games are quite hard on higher difficulties which is how they were meant to be played.
Is dmc2 unplayable bad or should I go through it once?
Those games are pretty casual. I played them on my ps2, Pretty relaxing games. Like all button smashers games.
Skip it.
I played it because I liked the first one a lot.
It was very bad.
3 is a masterpiece.
What the fuck do they mean by "HD Collection" when even the fucking HUD isn't in HD?
Who green-lighted this?
I really wish Itsuno's team properly revisited DMC3 again instead of doing 4SE.
what Im wondering is how do they even calculate something like this, what is """europe""" in this context? How do you just determine that an entire continent is worse at the game?
The DMC series is as hard as you want it to be. If you just want to get through it, you've got items and continues to work off of. If you want to do clean runs, you'll have to work harder. If you want a clean run with the best rankings, you'll have to work even harder.
Since you're a PCshitter it's probably going to be pretty hard. I've never known a PC user to be good at any type of game besides FPS.
>decide fuck it lets do DMC3 Bloody Palace
>not good at any of them so fuck but I really wanted infinite Nelo Angelo without doing DMD
>get to stage 9999 nervous as fuck health is getting low
>Vergil 3
>takes me down after getting his health half way
FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK THIS GAME FUCK.
>I really wish Itsuno's team properly revisited DMC3 again instead of doing 4SE.
They didn't. 4SE was handed to different devs.
You'd only get the first Super Costume from BP anyway. The one you usually get from finishing Very Hard.
Well back to DMD then.
What
>HELP ME MAKE DECISIONS
Dumbass
Good luck user. It's tough but possible. Just don't forget your DT Flux.
Yeah 4SE was outsourced because Crapcom didn't give a fuck. That's why it's full of bloat and has no balance.
He's asking people that played it if it's worth it.
I don't see what's wrong with it.
But of course, one shouldn't expect logical thought from someone that posts shitty wojak edits.
You can give Dante's disc a shot to see exactly what makes it so bad, but holy hell just skip Lucia's. You think those few first person swimming rooms in the first game was bad? Try entire dedicated shitty water levels.
he is asking people because he is too retarded to boot the game up himself and then decide whether or not he wants to stomach it or not
