I'll never get the most out of stories.

What do you mean? user are you okay?

>Antagonist reveals that he's actually a medically induced sociopath
>looks at me with smug confusion as I shoot him in the face

I have a mental illness that limits apathy.
It devalues stories for me in vidya. And well everything.
I just focus on mechanics usually desu.

I mean, killing them wouldn't fix anything.

t. sociopath

and I'm not saying that to be a dick or anything. Just make sure to never kill a dude, dude.

Fuck you.I'm not sociopath go take your meme knowledge somewhere else.

You keep using the word apathy but that doesn't make sense in the context you're using it. Do you mean empathy?

That's what sociopaths usually say

Attached: DE0549DF-BF40-435C-B50D-09D2D809410B.jpg (480x360, 20K)

Motivations don't matter when you commit atrocities. There is always another way. And that's why I had to kill Magus. That faggot.

>I have a mental illness that limits apathy.
>I just focus on mechanics usually desu.
>I'm not a sociopath

DUDE

It would at least set an example

>limits apathy

So you're like really motivated and want to help everyone?

I know how you feel. I never felt much when we find out about the Boss in MGS3. Didn't shed a tear at any point during TLOU. Didn't feel a thing when I cut through the 16 collosi in SotC which people say made them feel "guilty" or "sad". It's nice to know I'm not alone.

Apathy isnt empathy you braindead, underage shitstain

Wow, you sure are empathetic user.

Kuka

This. They fucking pulled a goddamn Obito with him. "Akechi was the coolest guy!". I hated P5. Guess P4 is still my favorite from the series.

flowey and...
well you know

sick meme

I love Kreia

Doesn't help that Akechi is an insufferable and obnoxious cunt to begin with, long before he joins/betrays you. And then the game tries pulling a "NOBODY LOVES ME REEEEEE!!!!" as if that will somehow make me give a shit about what he's done and actually see it as justifiable. Yeh-nah, at least Adachi in P4 didn't try to get sentimental and emotional with his reasoning - guy was just after some shits and giggles due to how boring town life was.

You can just say you're autistic user.

Not trying to sound like someone's dad or anything but you can grow out of that. Never felt anything for any media when I was younger and it really hindered my ability to enjoy it. I had a pretty fucked childhood too. Once I got a girlfriend I actually cared for everything changed. It was like I had access to this part of my brain I had hid away.

Tl;dr - I got a gf and suddenly story > gameplay

delita killed many people, some because he wanted them dead, a couple because he couldn't have them talking about his plans, one because she stabbed him first. he was a man who watched countless people die, but it was to unite the world he lived in. he succeeded, and was even able to pin the blames of the previous world on the person who killed everything necessary to see that vision, but he is the main antagonist.

Bummer

Or not

Vergil from Devil May Cry. His entire motive for having power stems from him blaming himself for the death of his and Dante's mother (and at the time I believe he also thought Dante was killed in the same attack). That's why he tells Dante "without power you cannot protect anything.". His downfall obviously being that he was so hungry he was willing to kill his brother for it (something he wanted power to protect).

This.

a

>Implying JRPG are and should be conceptualized the same way than Western RPG

No regrets faggot. It's the logical thing to do.
>spend entire game hunting someone down

Ganondorf from Wind Waker.

Not saying he's justified or anything, but if I was born cursed in a desert, I'd be a little ticked off too.

>Close to the end of the game

What is the good choice in that shit?

Vayne Solidor, all he wanted was to protect my perfect little girl Larsa from the pain of experiencing war and bloodshed firsthand by killing anyone that could start a war or try to hurt him.

D I S R E G A R D E D

That's called 'hesitation' and IRL you'd get shot like a dickhead.

But you're supposed to spend the whole game waiting at the table for Pagan Min to finish his business, were you rude and left him?

>Yeah you're crippled in the real world and you're sick all the time, but did you ever think about how I felt with Mom having to take all that time caring for you and not me? How dare you oppose being re-crippled, I'm practically a martyr wanting to go back.

Attached: ffta.png (521x462, 25K)

I sort of thought it'd be tough on the player if whenever you did something nice or helpful worse stuff was the consequence and leaving people to die incidentally let them live.
>Father dying in your arms
>Asks if he was a good father
>Saying yes will result in him succumbing to his wounds
>Saying no has him survive the ordeal knowing he wasn't a good father
>Enemy you tracked down begging for their lives
>Executing them reveals they were a double agent on your side, or reveals all the friends and family they were working for
>Letting them live reveals that you just let a serial killer loose again on the city and shows their victims throughout
Something along those lines, so the player has to decide whether or not they should be an asshole but in turn help everyone, or try to be the hero and have things fall apart for them

Why is being a sociopath so hated on? They didn't decide to become sociopaths did they? I thought it was a childhood trauma thing.
If this is true they they should be felt bad for instead of being hated on, they're the real victims honestly.

Shut up socio, we know you don't feel bad about this.

Honestly? People are fucking assholes. That ain't never gonna change.

Im not even a sociopath, but if we hate them then we should also hate (actual) autists for acting stupidly in social situations? Sociopaths are like that really...

>Feeling bad for someone that can't care about your compassion

Then go tell the guy with a blind girlfriend to stop wearing clothes since she won't see it, you are the real bad guy if you refuse to feel bad for someone who went throigh trauma and expresses their inner fear and anxiety by being dicks.

I physically can't feel bad for people because I'm a sociopath. I can only pretend, sorry.

But why should I feel bad for what some else went through? Like -- what does that have to do with me?

he's such a jerk though...
