My biggest gripe isn't the lack of a Rune Factory style game, but the fact it don't take place in the Rune Factory universe. Harvest moon games were all separated, but Rune Factory games are tied together in a now pretty well done world they built over the series

That game is basically a cocktease, the entire time you're literally playing a sandbox game and get married. But once you build a school and have a kid, the actual REAL game starts and turns into true Rune Factory. Gen 1, huge as it is, is just 1/4 of the game with 1/10 the content you unlock in gen 2.
