Butt-blasted Half-Life niggers need to buy the game before they can leave a review.

>t. still believes people were waiting for a new game at fucking Dota TI

It's even funnier because it's not just a Hearthstone clone, it's a Hearthstone clone of a Dota sequel that wasn't allowed to use Blizzard's original designs.
Artifact is basically the chinese knockoff of Hearthstone you were expecting.

i'll play a card game when it involves cute things and you can't improve your cards with money

Incorrect.

It's a Dota skin of a Richard Garfield designed game you spastic tard.

>it's a card game therefore its a heartstone clone

>the virgin CCG
>the chad TCG

cry more

Who is this Richard Garfield dude?

What happened to Shadowverse? Wasn't it supposed to be the Hearthstone killer? I don't hear anyone talk about it anymore.

Attached: 1505868063516.png (341x483, 91K)

If anything it's Magic: Valve edition. Hearthstone autists and Blizzdrones fuck off.

Shadowverse for life niggers

TCG enthusiasts don't play "digital card games"
Also, fuck off Valve shill.

There is no "Hearthstone killer." HS created this dumb virtual CCG craze that every publisher seems keen to jump on now (there's a fucking Smite CCG now for fucks sake) and it's so simple and easy that nothing is ever going to replace it.
I imagine Artifact will get some traction being a Valve game, but HS isn't going anywhere.

>people don't play MTGO for qualifier points
Um, no sweety.

Already playing MTG Arena (fuck Dinos by the way)

how is she so cute

>Valve
>Highlighting Dota 2 as their biggest accomplishment
>Not half-life

I don't care about the game but this irks me somewhat

Artifact is different from all the HS clones because it has actual tradeable cards.

Looking forward to this but goddamn the DoTa 2 artstyle is fucking soulless and bland to me. Would it have killed them to make the art a little more lively rather than make it look like they took screenshots of the assets and plastered them on cards?

i have yu gi oh, why would i play some shitty dota game?

it's honestly pretty good, what's your problem

>my first TCG was Hearthstone and every online TCG is a Hearthstone clone!

You're a fucking moron.

HS, DoTa 2, League, HoTS, Gwent and similar games were all fully playable for around a year before they were properly "released" don't worry about it. I'm 100% convinced everyone who wants to play artifact will be fully playing it during the summer.

>soulless

>magic the gathering artist worked on many cards personally
>your pic related is a high quality painting
>"soulless and bland"

Also it has actual card interaction and not just babby Hearthstone shit where you can't respond on the opponent's turn.

well they were explicitly told to expect a new IP announced, so why can't you believe that?

Damn first Shooters, then MOBAs, now card games... Valve truly is dominating the gaming market, how do we stop them?

Aesthetically it is garbage compared to Hearthstone; it will fail just like the rest

Not that user, but Dota 2 always looked washed out to me. Also, it's like the really tried to create the most cookiecutter looks for the characters.

The only trading you can do in HS is a one-way road from your wallet into blizzard's bank accounts.

Attached: 1493406848694.jpg (477x693, 96K)

Well ....at least they're making "video games" again

Attached: 1517162095735.gif (500x482, 3.23M)

Umm... a MOBA inspired card game? Thanks, bye!

Why does hearthstone have such a great UI? this looks so shit compared to it, this looks like the shadowverse UI

I'm sure they will "let" you play their game before release, if you give them enough money.

>Giving money to Steam
People actually do this?

release date when

how can you be so underage nigger. how do these rats find this site.

>Zelda BotW
lmao

I don't necessarily agree but I think it might be because they created the base models with future cosmetics in mind.

What's exactly great about their shitty flash animation UI? Also, I can run Blizzard's every game at the same time just fine, but opening HS lags everything.

>card games

you know you can play with cards IRL, right?

Have they commented on using the steam inventory to trade cards yet? That's going to be their biggest advantage over competitors

boring pose and composition, bland colors, character looks like he doesn't really want to be there but has to show up to his 9 to 5
this is supposed to be a legendary hero, would it kill them to put some life into it

Fuck Valve
Fuck every single one of you faggots that is actually hyped for this garbage

>Also, I can run Blizzard's every game at the same time just fine, but opening HS lags everything.

Unity Engine

You know you can discuss vidya IRL, right?

That makes sense. Colour palette is shit though.

Valve's Dota design is fucking trash why are they doing this

Not an excuse with graphics this bad.

HS has a very clean look yet also manages to give you all the information you need at a glance.

It's something Shadowverse never managed to do when even Duel Links got it right.

>I have a technical issue that impacts my experience that means the UI is shit

BACK THE FUCK OFF?!?!?!

You got your new Half-Life game, you big baby. Go play your hallway shooter.

Yep. Batch install and update is nice.

>thought forum would be people bitching
>they're just begging for keys
Too far gone

Attached: 20171106_010210.jpg (1043x784, 284K)

wut, never had any problem knowing what shit does in shadowverse, in both games cards give you info by hovering over them

It's because you think the shitposter bitching on here is the opinion of the majority.

Its not an excuse, its the explanation you stupid retard

there should be space around him
he should feel like he's somewhere and you are interested in what he is staring off into

Are they begging for free keys or for the chance to buy them?

>card games
>videah

nope

Hearthstones art looks very drawn and colorful like you'd see in a comic book or cartoon show. This was pretty smart of them because such a style lends itself a lot better to a card game.
Artifact should have done something similar by making their card game have a nice artstyle that looks like you could see in a picture book. Instead they went with trying to make it look like DoTa 2's 5 year old PC video game graphic style giving it a weird knock-off feel.

t. Someone who hates hearthstone and is looking forward ot artifact.

Attached: xfk1vYW.jpg (1920x1080, 262K)

You shouldn't have to hover over the cards just to understand what they do especially when recent cards have had paragraph long effects.

Are cards game, dare i say the new zombie+crafting+openworld+early access?

were*
Valve is late to this party

No. You're thinking of battle royale.

Fucking this. I suppose it's not so much DoTa 2's style that's the problem, it does have some pretty cool and interesting character designs, but the way they choose to present it in cardform was pretty much the most dull and boring way they could've done in all the cards i've seen

Attached: Artifact Phantom Assassin card.jpg (280x458, 59K)

I'd say that Hearthstone's artstyle is way more appealing to the masses and more marketable while Artifact's not. But that does not matter much since there is no point on competing against such a giant and there is not that much market on card games anyways, the people who will play Artifact are not people who will see an ad of the game but people who already play Steam stuff.

How do you explain keywords for a newcomer without them hovering it? What's so bad about reading the effect of the cards?

Dude when playing card games you shouldn't ever not know what cards do.

ARTIFACT CONFIRMED GOAT ALL YEARS

Attached: 1364955650440.png (400x450, 87K)

implying that the art is not good

Attached: ravenguy.png (829x1080, 1016K)

Not really, you are giving everything else up for a little bit of convenience.

that's what Workshop is for. Make the initial cards bland so they can sell you a holographic animated cool Axe card instead made by a non-valve artist that they take 75% of the profits from.

Keywords should be included in help section to be learned beforehand or through tutorial.

You're right but I wasn't saying it should've used the same artstyle. It's just that all the art are pretty bland and straightforward depictions.

For example, a lightning card in a card-game should be ( and almost always is in CG's ) an image of lightning striking something in a spectacular fashion. In artifacts direction it would just be a flat image of lightning in the sky.

Why not have a basic description of what it does on the card itself and when you hover over it expands to show keywords and stuff? You know, like how HS and Duel Links do it?

It's a bother to simultaneously manage a game library on Linux and Windows(and probably on an OS X in a future).
It's also a bother to update and install everything.
I think it's a decent deal.

Looks boring.

If you've tried watching on Twitch it's a nightmare, especially if you're used to the simplicity of Hearthstone cards (even a less than a second card hover and you know exactly what a Hearthstone card does, including legendaries with crazy effects). Artifact is going to be way worse with only being able to see 1/3 of the board at a time besides the shop phase. The Couriers don't even do anything but add Disney characters to unnervingly watch every move you do with a Shrek smile and fill up screen space (and probably be a market item).

The only way it'll get tournament funding is through official Valve funding (from the 15% cut they take from market transactions from children addicted to gambling cosmetics) as no third party is going to want to host a tournament as watching it via an app like Twitch is a nightmare of confusion and won't get views beyond release. If it has no RNG beyond card draw it might be more interesting to play than Hearthstone, otherwise you might as well just play / watch the card game that everyone has 300-1000+ cards in (or play Shadowverse / Duelyst, and so on).

>card shit
>game
LMAO

It killed itself with 3 stupid expansions in a row that power creeped the game to the max, and added so much anti-fun that when the devs realized how stupid they were it was so late.

>The only way it'll get tournament funding is through official Valve funding
Not like that's a problem. Valve has basically been forcing DotA2 on life support for years now.

I heard they nerfed those expansions. But yeah, 9 straight months of garbage probably made a lot of people quit for good.

A hero picture of Axe should be him being mid swing because his whole character is famous for counterattacking everyone around him with a swing so powerful it deals pure unmitigationable damage. Heck, you probably COULD put him in a pose but make it a little bit interesting by making the background somewhere interesting or give him some character by having at least an expression on his face.

Pic related with a terrain in the background or enemies around him would've been a much better hero card depiction for example. This wouldn't be an issue if it was just this one card, i've just noticed this blandness in pretty much every card from artifact they've shown.

Attached: Axe.jpg (1280x720, 122K)

I'm going to enjoy this game a lot.
I really like card games and I recently came back to DotA and it's the most fun it has ever been.

Attached: 1465424691618.jpg (421x447, 34K)

I stayed 2 years in HS but i like more Shadowverse at all.

DoTa 2 does have the best gameplay a moba has ever had. It's just fucked up because you need to keep playing it cause if your skills slip you're just going to have a bad time.

Didn't Valve lose a lot of creative types over the past 5 years? Probably the reason why it looks so dull.

I thought Valve greatly encouraged creative projects and let everyone work on what they want?

THIS GAME DEVELOPMENT THING IS BORING
CANCELED
LMAO
