Prove me wrong
This is the best Zelda game
lol
>Game Boy entry into franchise is best franchise entry
>Shitty console means shitty game
I guess that rules out BotW
Tough choice, in my top 3 for sure.
MM and BOTW the others.
LTTP is a close 4th but LA has a much better story/lore/feels
you're right
but the majority of Sup Forums was not born when it was released
>he didn't get every photograph
>he didn't get every secret seashell
>he didn't sequence break using the doghouse glitch
>he didn't watch Marin fly
I love this game music, nice graphic, cute reference to other title that don't really feel like a "i clapped moment" and overall story
I wish modern game feel like that
Sorry but the Oracles outclass it in every way, from graphics, ambience, items, dungeon design, bosses and music.
Also they are "real" and not just a dream.
>LTTP is a close 4th
the fuck out of here
no game is real
I think its the best, but that may have had to do with me playing it after I was getting sick of the newer games that were just getting progressively worse at the time
This, or wind waker.
It didnt age well
it is in my mind
It's not my opinion and my opinions are objective facts.
>Oracle
>Better dungeon design than Awakening
lol
On one hand, it's pretty great how almost every Zelda is a good candidate for the best Zelda game.
On the other, it makes every Zelda thread a petty bitch fest.
There is literally nothing in Zelda 3 that makes it harder or less enjoyable to play today than 20 years ago. Fuck off you buzzword-spouting faggot.
Oracle of Seasons exists, user.
But FX is the second best one
Oracles are better. Probably helps that I didn't play LA as a kid.
It's literally the most timeless one out there
A Link to the Past > Link's Awakening > Breath of the Wild > Skyward Sword > Twilight Princess > Ocarina of Time > A Link Between Worlds > The Minish Cap > The Adventure of Link > The Legend of Zelda > The Wind Waker > Ages/Seasons > Majora's Mask > Spirit Tracks > Phantom Hourglass
>BotW
Why? It's shallow as fuck
Really there's only one fact in the Zelda franchise and that's that Skyward Sword is dead last
Below Link's Crossbow Training, below Freshly-Picked Tingle's Rosy Rupeeland, possibly below the CD-I games if you're a 'it's so hilariously bad it's good' kinda guy
>Unskippable messages including ones for basic shit like the compass or those acorns.
>Two item limit so you are constantly opening up the menu.
>Small cramped overworld full of one way only paths, just a pain to navigate
>Bosses ranging from mediocre to flat out awful.
Story aside the actual gameplay isn't that fun.
Sorry sweeties but BotW is the best zelda game ever created and it has the awards to prove it. Deal with it.
>Judging the gameplay from those things instead of the most important part of any Zelda game; the Dungeons and Puzzles
wtf is this shit
Link to the past is harder to navigate with all the dark world shit. This one has portals That can get you anywhere you want.
I did, I also discovered the pausing during transitions glitch by accident
A Link to the Past is the best Zelda game
*gets overshadowed by OoT*
Most overrated game desu; Oracle, Awakening, LttP and MM are bettefr
LttP has more fast travel warp methods than LA, there are more warps from Light to Dark World in LttP than there are warps total in LA. How can anyone possibly find LttP hard to navigate?
Nope, Skyward Sword is cool
It also has the best Zelda character ever
>kill enemies in a specific order
>game doesn't tell you which enemy is which
>throw a pot into a door with no hints suggesting to do so
Oracle are garbage, take off the nOstalgia goggles. Only worse ones are the DS games.
Sorry; I thought most people judged Zelda games based on their dungeon design and puzzles, the most important parts
Phantom Hourglass might have been fun if it was possible to play it
Even if BotW is the best Zelda...
>caring about shallow awards
OOT best for main content
MM best for side content
PLEASE NINTENDO MAKE A 3D HD REMAKE!!!
>be me
>17
>had this game since childhood but never finished it
>finish it
>almost cry, my eyes watered a bit...
Am I a bitch?
They put too much annoying shit around the map to gate off players who don't have certain items, but once you do it required constant tedious trips to the equipment menu just to get around
>oh look, a pit. Guess I have to equip roc's feather.
>oh look, a rock, guess I have to equip power bracelet
>oh look, one of those crystals, guess I have to equip Pegasus boots and the sword
I can't.
Shitty friendless hipster choice.
bump
I don't give a damn about gameplay as much as I do about story, I'm a story gamer
Your taste is shallow as fuck.
>link's awakening so high
>ages and season so low
fucking wut
how so? it plays pretty well imo, i played it back on GBA and was already late to the party. in fact, i may go play it now.
Explain to me why you like it
>Most overrated game desu
That's not BOTW.
Best 2D game? I'd be inclined to agree.
Best 3D game, yep.
First 2 posts best 2 posts.
it is very good yes
>criticism for the Trifoce quest in Wind Waker
>it's fine when LA did the exact same thing with the trading sequence
Oh my fucking god, it's GOOD TASTE
I used to like it, but for some reason I can't stand top-down combat anymore. Maybe I shouldn't dismiss a game based on only one aspect of gameplay, but it's why I think Zelda II and Breath of the Wild are much better games.
It's fun.
No I felt really sad too.
Not an argument
Playing this game for the first time, pretty fun and charming. Only gripes are some minor things like painfully slow text windows every time you accidentally bump into an object that needs a certain item and every time you pick up a piece of power/guardian acorn.
Also, as a veteran Zelda player, this puzzle made me feel like a total brainlet. I must have spent an hour fucking around Kanalet Castle before admitting defeat and checking a guide.
A fucking pot.
>game boy
>shitty console
This place is dead
Pretty spot on fromjust a gameplay stance. MM, MC, and ST are some of my favorites conceptually but don't hold up in the gameplay department.
A little
MM has the gameplay of OoT, plus 4 FOUR different additional gameplay styles.
Is it strange that I really like the ds zelda games?
