star trek online is pretty shit, i played for about an hour or two and barely anything changed about my character, equipped armor doesn't show up on you, discarded.

It's not something I can play constantly. Usually jump into once every few months or so and play until I get tired.
Remember how the process was nearly instantly reversible, and was otherwise the only downside to the technology needed to get them home?
For me it's more like
>Log in
>Refine dilithium
>Check if fleet needs anything queued
>Check dil exchange prices
>Do whatever the current grind is/new episode
>Log out
And once every once in a while i start doing shit like slotting admiralty queues and doing some STF queues.
Or even play with some altof mine.
Last time I played this game was when the beta ended. Is it worth getting into if I just love RPing as a ship captain
Is that Hoshi? They actually kept part of the lore from the previous series? That has to be a mistake.
The game has come a long way since beta. Ground combat isn't nearly as painful as it was, for one. Sure it's still kinda bad, but not nearly as bad as it was. Also the newer game-exclusive ship designs are a lot better than the old ones, excluding maybe the latest Miracle Worker ships.
