Pretty much the best concept for a boss fight in the entire series. Mediocre execution

We got to see it's full potential in Generations though, which was great

man the CGI at the end of Black Panther was bad

For some reason as a kid I thought it was hard, even though it's not really. Great atmosphere and music, the preceding cutscene is one of the best in the series too.

One of the few good boss fights in 3D Sonic. It made you actually think of creative ways to damage Sonic/Shadow aside from the homing attack you've been spamming the whole game.

I really liked this game. I don't see why Sup Forums hates it so much

How the fuck does Sonic learn or even know how to use Chaos Control? How does Tails even manufacture a fake Emerald?

Tails has a lab, and has studied the emeralds. Sonic figured it out in a pinch while he was being jettisoned to death by Eggman, by watching Shadow do it. Seems like anybody can do it if they just think about it hard enough.

I died more often from accidentally falling off the stage after the recoil of a block homing attack than actually getting pushed off by one of Shadow's attacks.

When he blocks your homing attacks you gotta let him go ahead a bit, and then when he's casting his spell spindash into him

Shadow had the best levels.

I used to think you had to lightspeed dash through shadow to hit him since he'd just block your homing attacks after a certain point.
It would take me like 5 minutes but eventually it would work.

FighterZ is hilarious for this, especially with Frieza. The English voice finishes yet the lipsync is for the Jap voice so it keeps going for a good 3 seconds.

Did you know in some levels there's an Omochao near the goal ring and if you pick him up and touch the ring while carrying him he says something related to the level?

In City Escape he says "Whew, that big truck scared me"
In White jungle he says "This fog reminds me of San Fransisco

but in the instance of the boss fight, the lines overlap during gameplay. im not sure if its just because of the nature of your opponent needing to warp to you so often, necessitating they say their line to do so, even if its in the middle of something else, or if it will always overlap no matter what

I'm not certain but I think the intended method was that you use all your different attacks to beat him. He won't block the first time usage of your attacks such as homing, rolling, spin-balling, or even light-speed dash (which is difficult, but not impossible to do).
You can exploit his weaknesses by baiting out his special attack, and fucking around with the timing of his blocks though.
