disgusting western white piggu

No clue. When is X ever a positive symbol?

X marks the spot
Circle back
The real question is, were you an advanced superhuman who said ‘square’ or a mindless degenerate who says ‘box’?

Does anyone else remember when triangle was back and not O or am I just crazy?

What kind of fucking lunatic would say box?

yea but PlayStation was the ONLY console that did that and it was dumb as hell

This just make intuitive sense when holding a controller. Your thumbs are either resting on down on the d-pad and x or the analog sticks.

That's how it was on most PS1 and PS2 games

Of course. Every PS1 games I can remember had that.

In Japan, Circle is confirm and Cross is cancel. Developers bringing games over to the West thought people would get confused and so they switched them. And then Microsoft put the A button where the Cross button is and now everything is ruined forever.

I don't know, but I hope whoever is responsible for it dies a painful death

Why would people get confused?

Who gives a fuck, it's buttons.

I always got confused because Nintendo conditioned me to believe that the button you use to jump is the same to accept.

>not resting your thumb on while bridging it over
>wanting your default stance to be "accept"

i don't get it

When was that? None of the NES games had menus that necessitated an accept button (or else used Select and Start), and the SNES had B as the jump button.

>not resting your thumb on square while bridging it over X
Sup Forums swallowed my pretty symbols

Triangle: Pizza slice
X: Pizza Cut
Circle: Pizza
Square: Pizza box

no. when I do that my it messed up my games controls. it's really different by default. factory defect maybe?

the same type that uses x instead of cross

When it's rotated 45 degrees.

O can mean off. It's on many power switches

You're in Asia. Like I said above, in Japan Circle is confirm and Cross is cancel.

I always remembered X being confirm and triangle being back for every ps1 and ps2 game except Metal Gear Solid as a kid but then when I go back and play these games it’s always O and X. Mandela effect I guess.

In Japan red is usually a good color and blue is a bad color.
You still see this in many RPGs like when looking at equipment. Red is an increase and blue is a decrease.

ha

With attack numbers yes, but that's because red is heating up and blue is cooling off, like the damage of the weapon. Friendly icons will still usually be blue.
